A Day in the Life of a Baby (Part 2)

After my nap, Mommy puts me in my stroller and we go outside. The air feels different—cool and a little windy. Trees move, people walk by, and some dogs bark. I stare at everything with big eyes. We go to the park and I see kids running and laughing. Birds fly over us, and the sun makes the leaves shine. I don’t know where we’re going, but I like this adventure.

Then we go to a place that smells funny. Mommy says we’re at the doctor. A nice lady smiles at me and checks my weight. The doctor touches my belly and listens to my heart. Everything feels okay until... a small ouch! I cry for a moment, but Mommy hugs me tight and sings softly. Her voice is magic—it helps the pain go away. After that, I get a colorful sticker. I don’t know what it is, but I try to eat it anyway.

Back at home, the light starts to change. It’s afternoon now, and I feel sleepy—but I don’t want to sleep! My tummy feels weird and I don’t like lying down. I cry, wiggle, and push away my blanket. Mommy rocks me gently, and after a while, I feel better. She kisses my head and hums a slow song. My eyes close little by little. It’s been a long, strange, wonderful day. I don’t understand everything… but I feel safe. And that’s all I need.

A Day in the Life of a Baby (Part 1)
Hi! I don’t know many words yet, but I know a lot of feelings. When I wake up, the light is soft and warm. I hear Mommy’s voice—it's my favorite sound. She says “good morning” and picks me up from my cozy bed. I kick my feet and wave my hands. She smiles and kisses my forehead. Then comes the diaper change… yuck! It’s cold and weird, but I feel much better afterward.

Next is bath time. I don’t always like the first splash, but the warm water feels nice. Mommy makes funny sounds with the sponge, and I try to grab it, but I mostly splash. Afterward, she wraps me in a soft towel, and I smell like flowers. Then comes milk time. Mmm… my tummy is happy. I look at her eyes while I drink and feel safe. She sometimes sings, and I don’t know the words, but they make me sleepy.

After eating, I play! I have a soft giraffe, a squeaky duck, and a rattle that I shake like I’m the boss of the world. Sometimes I get frustrated when a toy rolls away—I shout and kick until someone helps me. Then I take a nap. I dream of colors, sounds, and smiles. I don’t know what a “day” is yet… but I know it feels full of love.
