Our Story
Edna Vega has over 14 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries. Her early work with the Ministry of Tourism in Mexico (SECTUR) gave her the expertise to start her own specialized agency for Marketing and Public Relations two years ago. Edna went on to be the founder of the Marketing and Operations area of the Mayakoba resort. Here she managed a portfolio of brands related to the El Camaleón golf course, Mayakoba Residences, Banyan Tree Mayakoba, Fairmont Mayakoba, Rosewood Mayakoba and Banyan Tree Mayakoba.
Her creativity has led her to innovate many communication strategies, positioning her as one of the leaders in Mexico focused on the Yucatan Peninsula market. Her vision regarding the strengths of business has always led her to develop community-based solutions and proposals. Edna’s values have resulted in active membership with various worldwide NGO's, including Save the Children, ACNUR, Fundación Lazos, Fundación Kiin Beh and Mayakoba volunteers.
Through a combination of excellent management skills and absolute mastery of strategic alliances she has forged partnerships with top class brands such as Rolex, Moet Hennesy, American Express and JetBlue.
Edna’s true passion is traveling, or as she puts it “light travel”. It has taken her to many places with diverse cultures, with a special interest in Latin America.
