Went here thinking it’d be a chill breakfast and everything just went fu***ng downhill.

Three of us. THREE. And somehow breakfast turned into a $313 disaster like we ordered gold plated eggs. $22 avocado toast, $12 WATER, coffee priced like rent, then management has the audacity to slap on auto gratuity and VAT like they didn’t already bend us over.

Nothing tasted life changing, nothing justified the price, it was just overpriced plates and vibes of you’re on vacation so shut up. And the best part? They still leave space for extra tip like this whole bill wasn’t already a scam approved by management. This isn’t luxury, it’s lazy pricing and greedy management hoping no one calls them out. Completely fu**ed

I had a table tonight & they wrote the incorrect total amount with the tip that they wrote. What would you have done?
I served a table of 7 guests tonight & their bill was $493.25 They wrote the tip amount as $100.00 & the total amount as $699.25 They obviously did the wrong math since $493.25 + $100.00 = $593.25 My managers say to always go by the total amount I asked 3 other servers at work what I should do. 2 of them said 2 claim the $206.00 tip but 1 of them said “Don’t do that, that’s how you get in trouble. If the table ended up tipping you under 20%, that’s one thing, but they tipped you a little over 20%.” So, I listened to the 1 other server and ended up claiming the $100.00 tip with the total being $593.25 The person who paid took the customer copy though, so I wonder if they wrote the incorrect math down on the customer copy too or just left it blank. What would you have done?

I’m slowly breaking out of this tipping culture. This was a simple breakfast buffet for two $58 for the food and $5.80 tax, bringing the total to $63.80. The server only brought tea and coffee; everything else we got ourselves. So I tipped $2, because $1 per item feels fair for the actual work done. Last year I would’ve blindly tipped $10 just because it was “expected,” but not anymore. We need to stop following made-up rules and tip based on real effort, not guilt.

I find it remarkable that 90% of diners fail to leave a tip, despite the receipt clearly indicating that the $10.08 service charge is not a gratuity. This table's bill totaled $71.11, and yet they chose to leave the optional tip line empty-underscoring the challenges restaurants face in retaining employees. It is illogical to expect full service without compensating the staff accordingly. This dichotomy is untenable.
