The Motorcycle Adventure Every Rider Dreams About!

I had the opportunity to experience Baja Mexico with the help of Captain Baja! Over the course of week I got to see hundreds of miles of Baja by Motorcycle! This was an adventure of a lifetime for me!

I’m very proud to finally release this video! It was not only incredibly fun to film, but to produce as well! I highly recommend checking it out on my YT linked in my bio👍

Still can’t believe this happened!

After years of using GoPros on my own I now have the opportunity to partner with them. Absolutely honored for the opportunity Thanks for making awesome products & very excited for the future!

On the opposite end of things there is only one “bad” Mexican dish IMO in the whole country.. Don’t hate me for this Jalisco, but it’s the torta ahogada. Never in my life have I woke up and craved soggy bread haha😔😂 it’s a texture thing not a flavor thing

Anyways Oaxaca for the win! Rich Moles, queso Oaxaqueño, tlayudas, memelas, etc..

Obviously you can find incredible food everywhere in Mexico, however something about Oaxaca man it just is a little bit better.

I’m biased to Chiapas in general because I lived there for 2 years and that’s where I learned Spanish.. I even learned a Mayan language Tzotzil from living up around Chenalho for a year. A small Tzotzil down about an hour up the mountains from San Cristobal👍

What’s most important is just setting a date & going and not overthinking where to the point that you just don’t go at all.

I also honestly really admire the travel board of Mexico for setting up the Pueblo mágicos initiative in Mexico. 🇲🇽 I’ve found them all really accurate in the sense that they do feel special and unique. It’s fun to have them on the radar when you’re traveling around and you can feel confident you’ll enjoy them.

Another amazing one I like not mentioned in the video is San Ignacio en Baja California Sur👍

At a minimum the most important tools you need in my opinion is the ability to solve these tasks below..
1) Take tires off and change/patch a flat tire. Not shown here I also carry a hand pump to fill my tires.
2) Be able to remove your seat and access your battery/fuses.
3) Bonus is tools to change your oil.

Everything else for the most part is just extra insurance and nice to have. For example like JB weld. How many times did I use it not once, will I still carry it? Yes.

I also carry a portable jump starter not shown here that has saved me a few times.

What tools do you like having the most? Or what do you think I could add to my arsenal?

Thanks & Cheers my friend!

Riding a massive striped Marlin that could kill me in the middle of the ocean while it tries to buck me off simultaneously while I’m holding my dive knife trying to stab it wasn’t ever really on my bingo card.. but here we are haha..

What an honor to spear & harvest a beautiful striped Marlin. Even more so for my boss Matt’s birthday!

Genuinely thought I was dead because when I was swimming down to get a second shot on it and finish it off it turned around and darted at me and I missed my shot! We let it drag on its buoy for some time and then eventually got it under control.

Spearfishing is easily one of Matt’s favorite things & so it was really fun to get to see him enjoying himself so much! Matt is easily one of the most impressive buisness minds I have ever met! The lessons he’a taught me I will forever feel loyal & indebted to him! I’ve watched him countless times prioritize his employees and partners over money. Make long term plays & do things that aren’t “scalable” but make all the difference. He is a master in emotional intelligence & the thing I like the most about him is his biggest joys absolutely come from showing people a good time.

Overall just so cool to have lots of my friends in one place at one time! For a few days sleeping on an island hunting striped marlin!

After almost 2 years of travel living off my motorcycle, here is the gear I took on my trip that I found myself not using or just being finding better solutions with other options.

If you like having a chair awesome there is nothing wrong with that, if you like a moto cover amazing, they can be very useful, but for my style of travel I found myself rarely if at all using these items. The chair especially I sent that home like 5 months in.

The Trail Tech Voyager Pro GPS while quite luxurious at times, overall was a net negative for me due to the charging mount, and how difficult & slow it is to manage GPX files from my phone or laptop to the unit. Have a sweet route you planned and you come to a locked gate & have to change your route? Forget about it! There is no easy way of creating a large new GPX file route without pulling. On my Gaia app, 15 seconds and boom new GPS file I can follow and enjoy. I respect Trail Tech as a company and enjoy other products they have, but I cant recommend this to everyone. If you have an unlimited budget, ride the same routes over and over, & don’t mind potentially more electrical maintenance/issues, it could be for you. And like I said from a safety aspect it is nice having the additional safety of an additional GPS, but thats an expensive luxury.

I hope me sharing this can build trust amongst us, as financially it’s a lot more lucrative for me to promote the most expensive gear and the most amount of gear as possible. Sales commissions on 800 dollar GPS units are nice, but I’d like to create trust here where you know that anytime I am recommending things to you is simply because I in this moment believe its the best way of doing things. Even if it’s NOT the best way of getting paid.

If you shop any at RMATV or Taco Moto for any gear I always appreciate you considering clicking my links before checkout, it’s a free way to support these videos. The links are posted in my Instagram bio & below YT videos. Thanks

What gear have you stopped using or have found better ways of doing things? Thanks & Cheers my friend!
