STAY ALERT ⚠️ Danger to all travelers in Mexico...
Just wanted to remind you to stay careful, because Mexico remains extremely "dangerous" for many reasons:
• 🌶️ "It's not spicy at all": usually ends in tears, your face on fire, downing three liters of horchata to save your tastebuds, while your Mexican friend looks at you confused as they add more habanero sauce.
• 🌮 "I'm just gonna get two small tacos": turns into an order of 12 al pastor, a gringa, a side of guacamole "for the table", and a digestion process that requires a 4-hour hammock nap.
• 🍹 "We're keeping it low-key tonight": ends up as an Instagram story with a sombrero on your head, a mariachi band singing in your ear, an empty bottle of Mezcal, and waking up to the sound of waves even though you live downtown.
• 🏖️ "The weather is perfect": around here, that means 95% humidity (yes I know, only by the coast). You step out of the shower and you're already swimming. Your hair has doubled in volume and your clothes are now part of your skin.
• 💸 "I'm just coming for a 10-day vacation": and just like us, you end up comparing apartment prices, asking how to open a bank account, and googling "how to become a digital nomad without ever leaving."
