Trying to lose weight this Ramadhanā¦
but nothing is changing?
You reduced rice.
You skipped desserts.
You tried to eat less.
But your body still feels heavy.
Your waistline doesnāt move.
Hereās what most people donāt realise:
Itās not just about carbs.
Itās the type of fat.
The oil quality.
The repeated deep frying.
Ramadhan = more bazaar food.
More goreng-goreng.
More reused oil.
And damaged oil doesnāt just add calories.
It increases inflammation.
Be honest.
After iftar, do you feel:
⢠Bloated?
⢠Sluggish?
⢠Sleepy but restless?
Thatās not just fullness.
Thatās metabolic overload.
This year, I stopped obsessing over cutting fats.
Instead, I became intentional.
I reduced deep-fried frequency.
I chose cleaner fats when possible.
And on heavier meal days,
I support my body from within by consuming Lecithin and Vitamin E
focusing on fat metabolism and antioxidant protection
so my system doesnāt feel overloaded.
The difference?
Less post-iftar heaviness.
More stable energy.
Clearer mind during tarawih.
And my body doesnāt feel āstuckā.
Small internal shifts create visible external change.
Now Iām curious ā
Which do you think is affecting your progress more this Ramadhan?
CARBS or FATS?
