Inkling Studio, located in Penang, Malaysia, is a Risograph micro-press, indie publisher and illustration studio.

We hope to publish comics that we'd rarely seen locally, whilst chancing on new artists around us from different fields and backgrounds.

The main character sets out to find the perfect job… and immediately loses the plot.

From cracking eggs in a café, to baking under ridiculous standards, to suddenly becoming a detective investigating a stolen ceramic piece (yes, Terrie the horse in lo**ta is involved), the job hunt spirals into something between memory, meme, and mild existential crisis. Somewhere in the chaos, John Pork shows up, because of course he does.

A comic about work anxiety, generative AI creeping into creativity, and what happens when your imagination is half 2010s reality TV, half doomscrolling.

A girl, a forest, and a balloon. Blushing Mars is a soft, reflective comic about love in its smallest, quietest forms, care that grows like flowers, unseen gestures that still find their way back to us. Rooted in tenderness and a hint of strangeness, the story invites you to slow down, notice, and feel. Featuring a removable cover that doubles as a poster.

Starting from comparison and self-doubt, this zine unfolds, literally, into different versions of who you are. Through guided folds, layered typography, and hidden messages, each interaction reveals a new perspective. A small experiment in self-reflection, reminding us that there isn’t just one way to exist, but a continuous journey to be whole.

🚨Seeing RED 🚘
Seeing RED starts with something simple, a colour, but quickly spirals into something more charged. What begins as road rage shifts into a reflection on bias, where “seeing red” becomes both emotional and symbolic. Through sharp contrasts of red and teal, this zine unpacks how meaning, hatred, and perception are constructed, before gently reminding us that, at its core, red is still just a colour.

☕️ Yume Studio’s Riso CD Menu 💿
To mark .pg ‘s (a specialty coffee café) relocation to the heart of Georgetown, we produced a Riso-printed menu in the form of a compact disc. Encased in a transparent clamshell CD case, the piece transforms a functional menu into a tactile, collectible object that celebrates the café’s new chapter.
