But honestly, I had the most relaxing time at this spa 🤭

Finally found a halal food spot in Luang Prabang that I genuinely kept going back to 👀

The place is called "Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles", located 1min from the Luang Prabang Night Market, and it became one of my go-to meals whenever I wanted something fresh, warm, and actually satisfying after a long day exploring.

I love finding simple places like this while traveling, nothing fancy, just good food, easy location, and exactly what you need when you’re hungry and tired.

Save this spot for your next halal meal in Luang Prabang 🇱🇦

A budget hostel I actually booked twice in Luang Prabang 👀🇱🇦

I stayed at Aurora Backpackers Hostel during my Laos trip, and what made me like it wasn’t just the price, it was how comfortable and safe I felt there as a solo female traveler.

The neighborhood was calm, the hosts were kind and friendly, and I loved that they actually paid attention to the special note I added when booking. That small detail made the stay feel more personal.

It was also easy for me to work from there, and everything I needed was within walking distance: cafés, markets, restaurants, shops, attractions, and the riverside.

I liked it enough that when I came back to Luang Prabang for one more night, I booked it again.

Save this for your next Laos trip 🇱🇦

Unlocked one of the most painful experiences in my life ❤️‍🩹
I never thought it could be this bitter celebrating Eid away from my family and away from my country.
Don’t get me wrong I am blessed to be here but it was something that I wasn’t ready for.

Eid Mubarak to all of you 🤍

This experience still haunts me to this day 😭

It was one of those travel moments where the photos look peaceful, but the reality behind them was pure survival mode.

The views were beautiful, yes. But the exhaustion, the discomfort, the chaos, the lack of food options, the dead phone, the rain, and the “why did I choose this?” moments were very real.

It’s funny now, but in the moment? I was questioning every decision that led me there 🫠

Should I share the full step-by-step guide next?

No one talks about the awkward part of becoming a content creator 😭

Filming yourself in public feels weird at first. You overthink every person passing by, every look, every moment where you have to repeat the same sentence because you forgot your words

But I’m learning that if I want to share my journey, I need to get comfortable being seen before I feel fully confident.

This is your reminder that you don’t have to feel ready to start. Sometimes confidence comes after you do the awkward thing anyway.

Have you ever felt awkward filming in public?

One thing I wish I knew before coming to Laos as a muslim traveler is that food planning matters

Halal food is not impossible to find here, but it’s not always easy to find spontaneously. Some days I found good options, some days vegan food saved me, and some days it was snacks, coffee, and patience 😭

It’s not impossible, but it definitely requires more planning than in places like Thailand or Malaysia.

I’ll be sharing more about the halal-friendly spots I found, what worked for me, and what I’d do differently next time.

For more details, follow for upcoming Laos food content, and check my website/blog through the link in bio, where I also share my Google reviews and travel finds.
