Huy, Tash, where in the world are you?

To satisfy your curiosities, we built an up-to-date map on our website for you, link in our story 😉

180 days on the road so far and we’ve finished our south east asian adventures with so many good memories. We post in retrospect (and slowly) on social media because to be honest with you, we are just so exhausted from cycling, planning and socialising - but also - we feel fully present with life and the people and landscapes around us, and with each other. 🥹 We also post slowly and focus on our blogs (website) and films (YouTube) to allow us to reflect on the time we spend with people and what these experiences mean to us. Travelling by bicycle is truly one of the most shape shifting experiences to ever experience- and we’re lucky that we get to share this adventure with you!! ✨

Sawadee krap Thailand 🇹🇭

Stay calm.. wait no don’t stay calm we’ve entered a new country - new journals and films full of new foods, people and places!

Camping doesn’t go as planned in southern Thailand (we ended up riding 10 hours in the dark…) and we meet some really cool people on the road- Phet Suwanna!

East coast extravaganza! We explore Malaysia's east coast, cycling from the state of Johor to the city of Kota Bharu, in Kelantan. We give wild camping a try...

Here’s a sneak peak of our third episode, which is out now on YouTube 🫶🏼

Along the east coast of Malaysia, we were met with friendly faces and delicious local foods! We also gave wild camping a go and found ourselves falling asleep to the soothing waves of the South China Sea (and the occasional midnight BBQ party… 🫣).

🏕️ We said our goodbyes to Alex in Kuantan as he split off to the west coast

🛍️ We meet Anisa and Joe serendipitously in Kuala Terengganu and again in Kota Bharu (more to come in Episode 4!)

Be right back, in a food coma in Penang 🍚

We jump over to the west coast of Malaysia and come across Georgetown, Penang, where the motherland spoils us with the finest street foods. As a kid growing up in Sabah (Malaysian Borneo) my dream was always to try the cuisine in Georgetown and hooolyy moly it is worth it! The food is on a whole other level here.

Although Huy and I still have a rivalry on which jelly dessert is better - 🇲🇾 ABC or 🇻🇳 Che? What are your thoughts!?

We met up with Jules who showed us some hidden gems and we feasted on exquisite cakes whilst listening to jazz one evening. Then we were lucky enough to catch up with long lost family friends in Kedah before hopping into Thailand 🇹🇭! Stay tuned for the Malaysia wrap up!

Our east coast adventures end here! 🍕

Before crossing over to the west coast of Malaysia and meeting .hussin, we spent some time with Tash’s cousin in Kota Bharu. From trying the best pizza in Malaysia at to camping at Gunung Reng, we spent some quality family time together and also met her partner, Axel, and their cute Shih Tzu, Butters. 🥰 Serendipity let us meet Anisa and her partner Joe () again in Kelantan’s state capital as we searched the streets for the best Nasi Kerabu and Koboy (cowboy) Cafes.

Kuantan street art 🇲🇾🎨

In the city of Kuantan, colourful art montages paint the city expressing Malaysia’s culture and identity. The art street is contributed by local artists from Project Zerosix. We were lucky to meet Ron, a local artist who was completing a butterfly montage.

Exploring the east coast! 🌊🇲🇾

As we city hop the east coast from Kuantan to Kuala Terengganu, we meet cheerful people in mosques, malls and restaurants. We give wild camping a try for the first time on the trip and were struck with awe witnessing an intense thunderstorm over the ocean.⚡️
