🍕 完蛋，在彩虹的 JomBali Village，连 Pizza 边边都让我们嗑光了……
Guilty as charged: We devoured even the crusts at JomBali Village (Taman Pelangi)!

没错，一个月至少来一次的餐馆就是这里了！我们又来 JomBali Village了！这次不卷和牛，改来跟淀粉做朋友🤣 没错，很会煎牛排的 Chef Gary 又有新搞作，而且还是那种限时、限量，卖完后 Chef 就关炉的 Pizza🍕

说真的，想要吃 Pizza 又怕胖又怕晕碳，点餐之前还很认真地问 Chef Gary：「Chef，看起来都很好吃，一次过点三份，会不会太过份～」

Chef 倒是非常淡定：「放心，我们用的是高质量面粉，容易消化。」

行。既然 Chef 都把依据搬出来了，我就抱着为人类美食事业献身的精神，大点特点。结果…… 这个面团应该跟我朋友一样，最近偷偷去健身了？饼底很有嚼劲，不是那种咬两口就直接变成面包的口感哦！而且连边边都好吃！

平时吃 Pizza 的一桌朋友，你们是不是也有分工可是非常明确的经历？中间有料，大家抢着负责。边边？无人问津。结果这一次，那个带着炭烤香气、边缘微焦微脆的 Pizza crust，吃着吃着…… 欸？怎么整圈不见了？回过神来，大家已经像仓鼠一样，把 Pizza 的整个“骨架”都嗑光了 😋😋😋

然后 Chef Gary 又很残忍地问：「哪一款你们最喜欢？」

我们：…… CPU 直接过热。

因为 Chef Gary 最可恶的地方就是～能被他放行端上桌的东西，基本都已经经过他本人那张嘴的审核。所以你叫我选哪一款最好吃，就好像让我在一群学霸里面选出“谁最会考试？”

对不起。我们不做这种算术题。全都要！除了 Pizza，我还要推荐他们家的 Truffle Potato Soup 😋😋😋

Our monthly regular spot just dropped something new. Chef Gary is known for his steaks, but his new pizza menu is next-level. When we hesitated about carb-coma risks, he reassured us with top-grade, light, easily digestible flour. Fair enough!

The crust is beautifully blistered, airy, and has that signature leopard-spotted char. Usually, crusts get tossed aside on pizza night; this time, we ate every single edge down to the bare wooden board.

Don't even make us pick a favourite; they're all incredible. And please do yourself a favour and order the Truffle Potato Soup alongside!

【 #客人来有新菜上桌啦😋😋 】大人我来客人来吃饭，肌肉记忆通常不用大脑批准。坐下、拿菜单、眼睛还没看完，嘴巴已经：「擂茶。」🤣
Dining at Ke Ren Lai is usually 100% muscle memory. We sit down, flip open the menu, and before our eyes even scan the page, our mouths have already blurted out: "Lei Cha!" 🤣

吃了这么多年，擂茶已经不是选择题，是标准答案。结果今天打开菜单，欸？客人来什么时候偷偷加新菜了？！👀 而且一来就是两道😍

🐷 #醋香炆花腩
🐟 #蒜蓉蒸辣鱼

本来想说：「试一下啦，反正… 还有擂茶。」哪里知道吃完第一口，哇！这个可以叻！ 😂 醋香炆花腩那个酸香很开胃，花腩炆到够软够入味，吃着吃着就会「再扒一口饭应该不会怎样吧？」，然后秒杀了整碗白米饭 #也可换糙米无需加价哦

然后蒜蓉蒸辣鱼又是另一回事，鱼鲜、蒜香、辣味刚刚好，「你以为你只可以吃传统？不好意思，我也懂你现在喜欢什么。」 😂 这就是客人来很会的地方。一边保留我们熟悉的传统味，一边又偷偷抓住现在大家爱吃的口味。

又到了大人朋友生日，大家又要烧脑讨论一个非常重要的问题：「今天到底去哪里吃，才能让寿星开心、我们也吃到满意啊？」😁
"Where can we eat where the birthday star is hyped, and everyone walks away completely stuffed and happy?" 😁

嘿嘿精明能干的我们，这次锁定的是中国超人气川菜品牌 #先启半步颠小酒馆！由于太期待聚餐，我们居然直接跳过门口的展板，不然会更早知道这划算的套餐啊！选好位置后，本来只是看看纸本 Menu，结果扫码看了后发现，哇哇哇 RM168 Super Full 套餐，可选五道菜还有一份饮料！划算到大伙儿无法拒绝😆😆 五个人一看：可以，今天就它了！

菜品上菜极为迅速，一上桌，我们开始怀疑桌子摆得下这份 RM168 套餐吗～这是五个人的套餐，还是准备喂饱十个人的？ 🤣

🥩 #外婆红烧肉

🍳 #蛋炒饭

五个人吃到后面已经开始互相问：
「你吃啊，我夹给你…」
「不了。」
「那外带回家吗？」
🤣🤣🤣

感觉再来五个人，可能都还可以继续吃。这轮聚餐，我们最想大赞外婆红烧肉，必须要单独给它掌声👏 太入味了！还有油泼水煮豆花鱼，鱼肉嫩嫩的，豆花配上川味，捞饭越吃越开胃！而辣子鸡和手撕包菜，份量足够大，完美满足了我们嘴里想带点川味小刺激的欲望！

而小吃狼牙土豆则蘸了特制糖醋，口味酸酸甜甜，刚好拿来中和一下前面的川味。最后再来可满足全桌的 🥣 1500ml 爆爽绿豆汤，吃完一轮川菜以后，来一大壶冰冰凉凉的绿豆汤就对啦！

生日聚餐嘛，重点从来不是吃多高级，就是一桌人可以一直夹、一直聊、一直笑，寿星开心，朋友吃到撑，最后还要认真研究，「这些到底怎么吃得完？」😌

这顿，生日气氛有了，川菜有了，连隔天的体重都已经有心理准备了😂 #话虽如此 #大家已经打算下回再来点还没吃过的那几道啦😆😆😆

Being the foodie masterminds that we are, we locked in China’s wildly popular Sichuan tavern brand Banbudian Malaysia 先启半步颠马来西亚! We were so eager to dive in that we walked straight past the promotional standee at the entrance—otherwise, we would’ve spotted their insane set deal even earlier!

We settled into our seats, initially browsing the paper menu, but once we scanned the QR code... jaw, meet floor. An RM168 "Super Full" Set that comes with 5 generous mains plus a jug of beverage! The value was so ridiculous none of us could say no. All five of us took one look and said: "Yep. This is it." 😆😆

The dishes came out so quickly that we started wondering if the table was actually big enough. 😂

🥩 Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly
🥔 Spicy Potato
🍳 Egg Fried Rice

The Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly was our unanimous “must eat with rice” dish. Super fragrant, tender, beautifully braised, and full of that savoury, comforting flavour that makes you quietly add another spoonful of rice.

The Sichuan Boiled Fish with Tofu was equally satisfying. Tender fish + soft bean curd + that aromatic Sichuan sauce = the kind of combination where you start scooping the sauce onto your rice without even thinking.

Then the Dazzling Red Fried Chicken aka Laziji came in with its punchy Sichuan kick, while the Hand-Torn Cabbage kept things crunchy and savoury. And those crispy Spicy Potatoes with sweet-and-sour dip? Dangerously easy to snack on. 😂

Eventually, we had already started passing food around:
"Hey, you take this piece, let me scoop some onto your plate..."
"No thanks, I'm good."
"...Are we tabao-ing (takeaway) this home then?"

Honestly, we reckon another five people could’ve joined us, and there would still be food to go around. And somehow, we still walked out discussing what to order next time. 🤣

If you’re looking for a spot for a proper gathering where everyone can pick, share and eat until nobody knows who ordered what anymore… Ban Bu Dian might just be worth putting in the group chat.

在新山，要找到 Kuih 不难。要找到好吃的 Kuih，可能就要靠一点运气。软糯、椰香、斑斓香，还有手作的温度，已经不是靠运气那么简单了！
Good food luck is hard to come by, but having the Queen of Bakes (and now Kuih) on speed dial guarantees we always eat like royalty!

前几天晚上还在开会，讨论第二天拍摄要拍什么，突然收到「女皇」 Jane Toh 的 WhatsApp。原来，她把自己的手艺越做越大、越做越认真了！OK，运气不常有，但是靠人脉还是可以吃到好吃的！

Little Manis 开店这件事对于大人我身边一大票 Kuih 爱好者来说，属于什么？属于看到消息就已经在穿鞋准备出门扫货的程度😂，所以当然要来支持一下！

一来到 Little Manis，糕粿如其名，微甜又可爱！先被柜台这一排五颜六色的娘惹糕粿吸引。红的、绿的、黄的、紫的…… 这就是 Kuih 最危险的地方。一开始只是想买两三块，最后通常都会变成一大袋。

招牌芒光粿是女皇强烈推荐给大家的必选哦！其实大人我吃了后觉得，全部都是必选！好吃极了！真的！😋😋😋

When Jane Toh whispered that Little Manis had relocated to a fresh space in Permas Jaya, all our diet plans went out the window.

Step in and we’re instantly greeted by a kaleidoscope of vibrant Nyonya gems lined up in neat rows. Sunset reds, deep jade greens, sunburst yellows, and natural butterfly-pea purples. That’s the classic kuih trap.

Jane’s pride and joy is her signature Chai Kueh. The skin is translucent, delicate, and tender without tearing, wrapping around a juicy, savory filling of finely shredded yam bean cooked down with dried shrimp until every bite bursts with fragrant, nostalgic flavour.

We walk in thinking, "Just two pieces to curb the afternoon slump." We walk out carrying half the counter in white paper bags. Don't fight the urge, just make sure you get there early before the trays are wiped clean!

Hijau Village’s iCoffee & Pastry Weekend is basically an open-air trap for anyone who loves good brews and fresh bakes. Note to self: never visit a bakery-and-coffee festival on an empty stomach.

原本来 #𝐇𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐮𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 的 iCoffee & Pastry Weekend，想喝杯咖啡，拍拍照，走一圈，结果一进去就闻到咖啡香；然后看到 Matcha。再走两步，贝果，Scone、泡芙、大福、Cookies、蛋黄酥、鸡蛋仔…

开心果酱这种东西真的不能随便看。心里一直想着「这个拿来抹面包应该很好吃……」然后就带一瓶回家啦🤣

小孩去闯关，爸爸妈妈负责喝咖啡、吃东西。大人我原本只想带走一杯咖啡，最后却像刚完成一轮碳水补货，满载而归😂

We walk through the space guided entirely by smell. First it’s the nutty, toasty steam coming off the espresso machines, then it’s the sweet, earthy aroma of whisked matcha, followed right away by that unmistakable scent of freshly baked dough.
