IMS welcomed FINAS Chairman Dato' Hans Isaac and CEO Dato' Azmir Saifuddin Mutalib for an official visit on Monday, 5 May 2025. The FINAS delegation was welcomed by Ms. Aidah Ahmad Adzmi, Vice President of Economy & Investment, IRDA; Ms. Susan Lee, Vice President of Trade Affairs, Production & Regulation, Asia-Pacific; and Mr. Rashid Karim, Chief Executive Officer of IMS

This meeting focused on creative industry investment strategies for 2026 and strategic partnerships between FINAS, IMS, and Iskandar Malaysia to strengthen Johor's position as a regional creative hub.

Discussions with the Motion Picture Association addressed pressing industry challenges, including the proposed 100% tariff by the United States on foreign film productions. FINAS reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strong international partnerships to assess impacts and develop solutions that sustain global collaboration.
