**Latest releases from bands performing at JBDD VOL.10 – September 2025.**
**1. RATCHET – Thrust**
Debut release that doesn’t chase perfection. Just two guys unleashing chaotic energy through tempo shifts, jagged riffs, and stop-start crashes – messy but honest. Shadows of hardcore roots with scars of noise. Urgency, frustration, and the stubborn need to be heard. Nothing more, nothing less.
**2. Kudis – Ditelan Bumi EP**
An electrifying blend of punk and hardcore on tape and IA release. Catchy pogo punk and buzzsaw riffs pull you in, while sudden groove breaks hit hard. Vocals scream like war cries. Some parts feel like torture chamber walls closing in. *Ditelan Bumi* (“Swallowed by the Earth”) symbolizes irreversible damage of our past deeds and the consequences we must face.
**3. SLAKT! – Sistem Kehidupan? EP**
4 filthy d-beat raw punk tracks. Chainsaw riffs, blown-out drums, total chaos. Swedish cold with Japanese distortion, screamed in Bahasa. Zero compromise. Pure frustration. *Sistem Kehidupan?* is not music – it’s a warning.
**4. MONE¥i\$GOD – Metaphor Tape**
Formed in 1999, with legendary names from the Tokyo punk scene. Despite line-up changes, they continue to deliver punk rock with unique blends of punk, hardcore, industrial, and dub. *Metaphor Tape* is their latest s**t, arriving alongside a short tour in Singapore and Johor Bahru.
**5. SEËK – M.a.n.u.s i.a.l Tape**
Sci-fi hardcore punk fury. Hostile, raw, and unapologetic. Crushing authority with stomping riffs, pounding drums, venom-drenched vocals. A relentless middle finger against police violence, control, and oppression. 1312 forever!
**6. PACEMAKER – The Sound of Juggernaut EP/DEMO**
A clash of NYHC & Cali HC shaped by old teenagers from Muar, Johor. Riffs that sound stolen – or rather a homage – to bands like Strife, Madball, Terror, mixed with cliché hardcore spirit lyrics. Maybe this EP will become a “classic,” or maybe it will fall into obscurity. Waallahualam.
**7. Swindle – Junk-Keys Album**
No shine, no tricks! Just spit, speed, and pure disgust. *Junk-Keys* flips the middle finger at junkies, poser culture, and everything fake. Raw chaos of UK82 fused with the fierce spirit of ’77. 10 DIY tracks recorded in sweat, played with rage, made for the misfits who never asked for permission!
**8. CAKAR چاکر – Kebebasan Milik Semua EP**
Female-fronted harami hardcore punk force spitting raw, unfiltered rage. Lyrics confront social issues head-on, refusing to be silenced. Beneath the fury lies pain, isolation, and survival in a world that marginalizes. Noise becomes protest. *Kebebasan Milik Semua* (“Freedom Belongs to All”) is a reminder: freedom is a right, not a privilege.
**9. Bombfeeder – War Pays Genocide Demo Tape**
A fresh d-beat raw punk band from Johor Bahru. Fueled by war, noise, and rage, blasting distorted reality with chainsaw riffs, pounding drums, and shouts of resistance. No peace. No silence. Just relentless noise against genocide, control, and decay. Influenced by Languid, Lockheed, Meanwhile. This is crust!!! Released through a DIY alliance between Broken Noise Recs and Bombfeeder, to empower the underground local scene.
**10. NEGATIVE KVLT – State of Depression EP (2025)**
6 tracks of deafening noise punk. Raw distortion, filthy feedback, relentless aggression. Inspired by D-Clone, Disclose, System Fu**er, fused with the cold edge of Swedish hardcore like Paranoid and Electric Funeral. No polish – only pure distorted warfare.
**11. Pogowolves**
S/T 7” (2019); Pogowolves/Dogfightt split 7” (2025); *Sinsurén Inferno* Demo 12” (2025). Pogowolves deliver energetic punk rockers in the Japanese Burning Hardcore style – loud, fast riffing guitars and filthy raw rock’n’roll vocals. “Catchy and gutsy,” says Aizu (Black Konflik Records). “Flaming Soul is a regular spin in this household,” says Matt Badenhop (MRR #444). “Intense as hell, feels like Japanese rock’n’roll hardcore,” ().
**12. VERT – Experimental Noisesucker EP**
Released in May 2025 with 7 songs, this EP brings “Grunge Revival” with a dose of noise rock, delivering lyrics of heartbreak, rebellion, and chaos. Physical copies released on CDR and tape by Hardcore Detonation.
**13. PERSETAN! – DEMO CDR**
4 tracks of pure rage inspired by Duct Tape Surgery, Bad Idea & Minor Threat. Infused with rock & roll riffs and a touch of folk, creating their own 80’s Alec Hardcore Punk style from Johor Bahru. This demo marks their first recorded outburst, to be celebrated at JB DISTRO DAY VOL.10 2025.
