Justice for zara
Her name is Zara Qairina.
I may not know her personally, but when I read what happened, I couldn’t stay silent.
She was only 13. A girl from Sabah.
Her name may not mean much to some, but to me and to many others, it represents something bigger.
It represents the cracks in a system meant to protect.
It represents how children can suffer quietly while the world looks away.
It represents the urgency for us to do better.
If we only speak up when the damage is done, we’ve failed.
If we wait for the headlines to fade, we’ve failed again.
So today, I’m choosing not to wait.
Not to move on.
Not to brush this off as “just another case.”
Zara’s life mattered.
She deserved to be safe.
She deserved to be heard.
And while we cannot bring her back, we can refuse to let her story be buried in silence.
Zara isn’t just another news story.
She was someone’s daughter.
And in many ways, she was all of ours.
To everyone who has a voice, no matter how big or small, I urge you, please help amplify her story.
Speak up. Share. Demand answers.
I pray for justice.
May her family find strength.
And may Zara rest in peace, finally surrounded by the love and protection she should have always had.
