Achievement unlocked - Didnt get bitten by a single PACAT while hiking to Langanan Waterfall! 😆

A last minute plan, 7km return hike to one of the most mesmerising waterfalls in Sabah. But when we get there, a more 'mesmerising' scene unfolded right before our eyes 🤣

The last time I was here was 3-4 years back. I was wearing the exact same shirt! How time flies.

Exactly 1 month ago. Climbed up & stayed together with this fun bunch.

I think I accidentally left my fav hiking short at Laban Rata. I wonder if it's still there or the SSL staff have kept it or not 😆

I guess 1 last climb this year to look for my missing shorts!🤣🤣🤣

Whenever Im up on the mountains or hills, I would bring my medium telephoto lens to capture iconic landmarks or city. This gives me a kind of satisfaction whenever I am able to recognise that particular buidling, landmark or even location from afar. 😆

If you have given me 3 hours & 30minutes, the furthest I could probably reach is Panalaban basecamp from Timpohon Gate 😵‍💫

In this year's Mt Kinabalu climbathon, for Men's Elite, they gotta reach the summit in 3 hours & 30 minutes. As for Men's Veteran & Women's Elite, the cut-off time was 4 hours. Dang! What a crazy feat! 😬

Here are some shots of the 32nd Mt Kinabalu International Climbathon exactly a week ago.

These were taken at Kilometre 8, right next to the iconic South Peak.

Frome, it's only 900m left to reach the summit. So near, yet so far. It's a brutal climb!

5 Tallest Mountains in Sabah:
1. Mt Kinabalu ✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️
2. Mt. Trus Madi✅️✅️
3. Mt. Sinsing
4. Mt. Tambuyukon
5. Mt. Kaingaran

Mt. Sayap @ Guwow may go #2. 🤞🏽🤞🏽 Hopefully, they will open the climb soon.

Climb #12 specifically for the Mt Kinabalu International Climbathon

For the 1st time ever while ascending, I was feeling this might be my last hike on this mountain. Maybe it's due to unfit stamina or heavy-load on my back... or maybe im just bored of climbing the same mountain twice in a year. I dunno.

But 1 thing of sure, I will definitely climb up for the climbathon if I was given the chance again next year 😆😆😆

From Gurkha Hut, if you face Northwest, you'd be able to spot Mantanani Islands, Nanamun Beach (Longest beach in Sabah), the paddy fields in Kg. Sangkir, Kota Belud & this unknown mountain.

Do you happen to know the name of this mountain? I cant seen to figure it out. It could be Mt Nopungguk.
