Feeling Grateful – A Journey I’ll Never Forget 🌟
It has truly been an unforgettable journey for me. Being given the chance to be Team Leader for the Sabah Culinary Team at the 4th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia 2025 was not only an honour, but also a beautiful experience I will always cherish.
I’m incredibly proud of what our team has achieved — 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals, along with three special awards:
🥉 2nd Runner-Up – Fruit & Vegetable Carving
🥈 1st Runner-Up – Piau Kee Cup: Hot Cooking (Duo)
🏅 Most Outstanding Apprentice Award
These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and passion of every team member. I feel truly lucky to have worked alongside such talented young chefs and to witness their growth, resilience, and fighting spirit throughout this journey.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the Sabah Tourism Board for your trust, support, and generous sponsorship. Your belief in our team helped us bring Sabahan flavours to the world stage.
I would also like to express my deepest thanks to Chef Rohizan(team manager), for your guidance and support, and to our President Chef Adrian Chong and the entire Sabah Chef Association committee—thank you for your leadership, commitment, and for believing the team.
To all the mentors and coaches who gave their time, energy, and heart to train and prepare our young chefs—this would not have been possible without you.
This experience has taught me so much—not just about competition and culinary arts, but about leadership, teamwork, and carrying the pride of our state Sabah.
To everyone who supported us, cheered for us, and stood by our side—thank you from the bottom of my heart. The journey doesn’t end here. Let’s continue to raise Sabah’s name, one dish at a time. 🍽️💛
