From Grassroots to Breaking Limits
2023 | The Beginning
The first time I met Fish Lee was in Kuching, during the Borneo Star Drift Challenge. Back then, he was still a rookie, finding his footing in the grassroots drifting scene.
Later that year, at NDS Borneo in Kota Kinabalu, he competed in his Nissan 350Z, securing fourth place in the tandem battles and finishing second in the Pro-Am category.
It was only the beginning of what would become a remarkable journey.
2024 | The Breakthrough
In 2024, Fish Lee took his first steps onto the international stage, competing overseas in Indonesia at Drift Kings.
There, he achieved something special. He claimed his first international championship victory, securing first place and proving that he had what it took to compete beyond his home ground.
That was where his rise truly began.
2025 | The Rise of Consistency
In 2025, the focus shifted from potential to consistency.
Across Indonesia, Thailand, and West Malaysia, Fish Lee continued collecting victories and sharpening his skills. Through a demanding season competing in events such as SEADS, D1GP, and NDS, he gained valuable experience and evolved into a more complete professional drifter.
Every battle taught him something new. Every competition pushed him further.
He was no longer just chasing victories. He was building a reputation.
2026 | Limit Break
Then came 2026.
After competing in Thailand, Fish Lee returned with a different level of confidence, precision, and aggression behind the wheel. The driver who once competed in the grassroots scene had transformed, pushing beyond the limits of his former self.
And at the Sepang Driving Experience Centre, he made his statement.
Across two days of competition at D1GP SEA and NDS Rounds 1 and 2, Fish Lee swept both rounds, securing victory and proving just how far he had come.
From a rookie in Kuching to a driver dominating the competition at Sepang, his journey is a testament to what persistence, dedication, and hard work can achieve.
Because success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes countless hours, difficult lessons, setbacks, and the courage to keep moving forward when giving up seems easier.
