The V by Jesselton – A New Landmark for Kota Kinabalu’s Waterfront

06 October 2026 – The V by Jesselton, Kota Kinabalu.
The groundbreaking ceremony for The V by Jesselton marked another milestone achievement for Jesselton International. The prestigious event was graced by the presence of Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Joachim Gunsalam and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Seri Panglima Christina Liew.

The ceremony also witnessed the Letter of Acceptance signing between Tan Sri David Chu & Board of Directors Jesselton International and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation, symbolizing the official commencement of this ambitious development.

Spanning 10 acres of prime seafront land, The V by Jesselton is projected for completion within five years. During his address, Mr. Nick Chu, Group Managing Director of Jesselton International, shared his vision for the project, emphasizing its potential to stimulate market growth and strengthen Sabah’s tourism economy, with increasing visitor numbers from both domestic and international markets.

Upon completion, The V will redefine the Kota Kinabalu skyline — featuring Borneo’s tallest atrium, Sabah’s first 100-metre infinity pool, and a new seafront shopping park by the bay. The development will also comprise three towers of serviced suites, a corporate suites tower, and enjoy a strategic location near SICC and Hakka Hall.

The V by Jesselton represents not just architectural innovation, but a bold step toward positioning Kota Kinabalu as a premier destination for lifestyle, business, and tourism in Borneo.

Borneo Clown Convention | Teck Guan Cocoa Village Field Trip for Sabah Convention Bureau at Tawau, Sabah

The Borneo Clown Convention joined hands with Teck Guan Cocoa Village & Cocoa Museum to host a special field trip for the Sabah Convention Bureau team in Tawau. The visit offered participants a unique opportunity to explore and experience the wonders of Tawau, a district known for its natural beauty and rich local culture.

Upon arrival at Tawau International Airport, guests were warmly welcomed by the Teck Guan management team before checking in at Hotel Emas Tawau, one of Teck Guan’s subsidiary companies.

The program included familiarization activities, combining outdoor nature exploration and educational experiences, allowing participants to discover Tawau’s lush greenery, cocoa heritage, and local hospitality.

Tawau is truly blessed with untouched nature, vibrant culture, and promising potential — not only as a tourism destination but also as a hub for local product development and innovation.
