Stage 3 of PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi from Gerik to Pasir Puteh was among the toughest, featuring the gruelling Puncak Titiwangsa climb.

Malaysians Ren Bao Tsen, Zulkifli Zulfikri and Kee Zhe Yie finished in the main group, while top sprinters Wan Abdul Rahman, Harrif Saleh, Ahmad Syazrin, Izzat Hilmi and Elmi Jumari settled in the grupetto.

Today, the race continues with a 141.5km Stage 4 from Kuala Terengganu to Kemaman, which is largely flat but includes a Cat 4 climb 15.3km from the finish.

Stage 3’s brutal climbs saw five riders abandon and three DNS, leaving 118 still in contention.

Last year’s points champion, Matteo Malucelli picked up where he left off, sprinting to Stage 1 victory at LTDL 2025 in Kuah.

The action continue Monday (29 Sept) with Stage 2, a 166.1km test from Padang Besar to Kepala Batas, with three intermediate sprints in Jitra, Pendang, and Sungai Petaini.
