Dear friends, I am going to shave my head! ——yes, I'm finally doing it!
Why am I doing it?
💜I wanted to shave my head when I was young because I thought it was cool, but I didn’t have enough courage then. Now, I finally had the right opportunity and motivation to go bald. I am participating in this charity fundraiser in which I will be shaving off my tresses for a good cause. This makes my insignificant act of going bald meaningful.
💜💜I believe that many people have similar experience with me, they want to do good deeds or donate but worry about the credibility of the organising institution. The Malaysian Starfish Charity Platform was founded by the executive chairman of Khind Group. It is a reliable and credible platform so I can be rest assured that the donations are going to the right channels. For this cause, the funds raised will be donated to the Malaysian Cancer Research Institute and the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society.
💜💜💜 I think everyone has their own unique ideas and reasons for any decision. For me, there are two important people who led me to this decision - my roommate when I was studying in China and my best friend in university. Both of them were in their prime of youth when they left the world due to cancer, and neither of them had the time to say goodbye. I hope that, as I am still in this world, my regrets and yearning for them will be transformed into the power to assist others.
So when will the action take place? On 20/11/2021
I hope I can call on everyone's attention to support this cause and give cancer scientists and cancer patients the power to heal!
