In Wimbledon, Domestic & General has been reimagined by SpaceInvader as a workplace that reflects both cultural change and a new way of working. The transformation moves beyond a simple lease renewal, turning the office into a vibrant, agile environment that balances collaboration with focus, flexibility with comfort.

The design begins with people — conversations, observations, and behavioural insight shaping every decision. Hospitality-inspired finishes soften the corporate edge, while shades of mint, emerald, and sea-foam flow through the interiors, weaving calm into the daily rhythm. Spaces are responsive: open floors for gathering, tech-enabled bays for collaboration, breakout lounges for pause, and quiet corners for restoration.

Textures and light add to the sensory journey. Tactile surfaces, layered ceiling heights, and carefully placed lighting create depth and movement. Reused furniture threads sustainability into the story, while the overall palette feels restorative and human. This is a workplace reset — rational, intuitive, and alive.

Muse, Riverside House unfolds on the banks of the Irwell as a dialogue between heritage and modernity, crafted with vision by SpaceInvader. The preserved 1860s brick façade holds its history like a quiet frame, while behind it rises a new four-storey structure — crisp, light-filled, and attuned to the rhythm of the river.

Inside, the atmosphere is both rational and intuitive. SpaceInvader’s design orchestrates agile layouts, responsive furniture, and fluid circulation so movement feels effortless. Teams can flow between collaboration and quiet focus, finding balance in spaces that are structured yet sensitive to human rhythm. It is design that responds not only to function, but to feeling.

The sensory language is unmistakable: sandstone warmth, industrial textures, timber detail, and greenery weaving through light. Muse, Riverside House becomes more than a workplace — it is a living canvas where SpaceInvader has bound history, context, and emotion into a cohesive whole.

At Central House, Harrogate, SpaceInvader undertook a three-year CAT A transformation — not to remake what was, but to unlock the untapped life within. Rather than chasing new tenants, the project redefines the everyday: public spaces, corridors, cafés, lobbies, and even the courtyard are re-imagined to encourage dwell, connection, and appreciation.

As daylight washes over monolithic concrete and fine timber details, the interiors breathe. Muted tones of cream, moss, stone, pink, and rust settle quietly across the palette, while copper accents — from zigzag podiums to pendant hoops and table legs — glint like punctuation. Cushions, coloured glass lamps, and ribbed bulkheads soften the rhythm of space. Through transparent facades, the café reveals itself as a focal draw, flanked by twin podiums in place of a rigid reception. Beyond, landscaping and lighting extend the life of the building into its courtyard, weaving the indoors and outdoors together.

This is more than refurbishment — it is a recalibration of experience, purpose, and connection. Central House feels calmer, more aligned, more alive. SpaceInvader’s vision whispers in detail, inviting dwell and supporting both collaboration and solitude. In unlocking its interior potential, the building becomes an environment where culture is shaped, wellbeing is elevated, and everyday work is quietly exceptional.
