England made history, and for the first time more than 300 runs, on an extraordinary night in Manchester as they buried South Africa under a mountain of runs and shredded statistics. Their highest T20 total was turbocharged by a brilliant opening stand of 126 between Phil Salt and Jos Buttler and by their highest individual score, Salt knocking himself off the top of that chart with an unbeaten 141.

No other Englishman has scored more than a single T20 century and the 29-year-old now has four, with his 119 in Trinidad at the end of 2023, previously the nation’s all-time best, left looking almost as sorry and ­underpowered by the end of this evening as South Africa’s bowlers. He took only 39 balls to reach triple figures, another national record, and scarcely slowed from there. It is a measure of how remarkable his innings was that it turned Buttler’s brilliant, 30-ball 83 into a footnote.

JESSIE J's emotional message as she makes stage return after cancer treatment

Singer-songwriter Jessie J returned to the stage this afternoon following her cancer treatment. She shared a message with the audience at a festival, which included her warning that "we never know when our last day will be".

Jessie spoke to fans after opening her set with the song Domino. She said: "I had breast cancer surgery 11 weeks ago today and the last show I did I had no idea what was gonna happen. And I'm still very much in the recovery process."

She continued by telling the crowd at the venue: "I'm just so grateful to be here. You have no idea how grateful I am to see so many of you singing along after all these years. It truly feels like I'm a little kid still doing what I love."

The BRIT Award winner went on to share that her son Sky, two, was watching her performance from the side of stage. She said: "Another special thing that's happening today is that my son is seeing me sing on stage for the first time." Speaking to him, she said: "Hi Sky. Hi my baby. Love you."

Elon Musk’s daughter Vivian Wilson is making things work without her dad’s financial help. The model was candid about money in a profile for The Cut, where she revealed how being estranged from her father, and his billions, has shaped her college decisions and living situation.

“People assume I have a lot of money,” she shared. “I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal.”

Though she acknowledged her mom, novelist Justine Wilson, was “rich,” she told The Cut she tries not to ask.

Wilson then added how Musk, whom she never referred to by name or as “dad” during the interview, was “unimaginable degrees of wealthy.”

Talking about her plans to attend community college in Los Angeles this fall, she said, “College is expensive. I don’t have that inheritance.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Wilson revealed how she lives with three roommates in Los Angeles, calling it “cheaper” than renting somewhere solo.

But the 21-year-old made it clear she was doing fine on her own, telling The Cut, “I don’t have a desire to be superrich. I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter, and some expendable income, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles.”

“I’m doing pretty okay for myself in my career,” she wrote in a follow-up. “I’m not super fu***ng rich but I can afford to live in Los Angeles on my own income so I’d say I’m doing well. Why tf would I lie about that lmfao.”

TAMIL ACTRESS BOOKED FOR KIDNAPPING & ASSAULT OF IT PROFESSIONAL

Lakshmi Menon has found herself in trouble after she was named as an accused in the incident of kidnapping and beating a young IT employee in Kochi following an argument at a bar. It is being said that the actor.was allegedly in the car of the kidnappers. Videos of Lakshmi, along with a few others blocking a car and arguing, have also gone viral on the internet.

According to a Cinema Vikatan report, last Sunday, August 24, Lakshmi Menon, who is also known for her work in Malayalam cinema, visited a luxury bar located on Banerjee Road in Kochi, Kerala. She was there with some close friends when an altercation reportedly broke out between them and another group of youths. The clash is believed to have lasted from 11 pm to 12 am, as the atmosphere became very tense.

After the fight, Lakshmi Menon's friends Mithun and Anees reportedly forced IT company youth, who was allegedly the cause of the fight, into their car. The victim directly complained to the police that he was attacked inside the car, and then beaten up on the road in the middle of the night. After assaulting the victim, they abandoned him there. This complaint has sparked a massive controversy over the incident.

The police took action based on the complaint and have arrested Mithun and Anees for investigating the matter. However, it has been officially announced that actress Lakshmi Menon is currently absconding.

Botched BBL left Sophie Kasaei fighting for life as star recalls being rushed for emergency surgery

Geordie Shore icon Sophie Kasaei haș opened up about her harrowing surgical experience, after a botched Brazilian butt lift left her just moments away from death.

The 35 year old reality star, who has always been open about her plastic surgery journey over the years, has undergone numerous procedures and treatments in her quest to achieve the “perfect” body.

Yet while most of these procedures have gone without a hitch, it was her BBL procedure to enhance her derriere that almost cost Sophie her life.


However, in the most recent episode of the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Sophie has elaborated a little more on her experience while discussing the nightmare procedure with host Giovanna Fletcher.

"I got a BBL and nearly died. I basically had an abscess growing on my left bum cheek,” Sophie confessed.

"And it took over my whole body to the point where I was, I was (moments) away from them saying I was dead.

"It was horrendous. And I remember being in the hospital bed in South Shields Hospital and my family being there.And I just thought, 'This is this is probably my goodbye.’”

“And the doctor came in. They were like, 'We're going to have to rush into surgery right now.' And I was like, 'What is going on?'

"They said, 'If that abscess bursts inside your body, you were gonna (die)... basically.'"

Continuing Sophie said: “So I was like, I was like, 'All right.’”

Yet even the prospect of potential death wasn’t enough to silence the worries that were plaguing Sophie about her appearance, as she asked the doctor to try and make the scar as small and clean as possible, rather than merely focusing on her health.

“ I remember saying to the doctor, 'Whatever you do, if there's a scar, can you make it, like a really clean scar?’"

“I was still thinking about doing the magazines and what people think if I've got this massive scar. It was just such a. I was 24. I was ten years on now.”

PRINCESS DIANA KEPT A FRIDGE FULL OF HER BLOOD WITH HER BECAUSE SHE "FEARED FOR HER LIFE"

The late Princess Diana carried around supplies of her own blood, her former private secretary has revealed, to ensure she was prepared if she was ever attacked.

The late People's Princess, who sadly died in a Paris car crash 26 years ago, was allegedly so scared for her life that her security team took samples from her veins in the extreme case she was ever attacked.

Patrick Jephson, who worked for Diana from 1988 to 1996, said: "Particularly when we were abroad or in the developing world, we would carry a little refrigerator full of spare supplies of Diana’s blood.

"That sure took the glamour out of it. "Each of us were tested so the doctors knew which of us could give her blood if she needed it.

She was killed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in the French capital after her driver, Henri Paul, lost control of the car while fleeing the paparazzi.

Her lover, Egyptian filmmaker Dodi Fayed, and Paul also perished in the crash, while bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones suffered a serious head injury but survived.

Jephson was equerry and private secretary to to the late Princess until the year before her death, including during her divorce from King Charles, then the Prince of Wales.

He said he still hasn’t forgiven the monarchy for their treatment of his former boss, Diana.

SYDNEY SWEENEY REACTS TO ONLINE FODDER AFTER AMERICAN EAGLE AD BACKLASH

The internet may not always be a euphoric place for Sydney Sweeney, but the 27-year-old star knows that keeping up on the online chatter is sometimes necessary.

“I think it’s important to have a finger on the pulse of what people are saying, because everything is a conversation with the audience,” Sweeney told The Wall Street Journal about navigating internet feedback in an interview published Wednesday, Aug. 20.

In June, the “Anyone But You” actress faced backlash for her partnership with Dr. Squatch. At the time, Sweeney released a limited-edition line of bar soaps made from her bathwater.

“It was mainly the girls making comments about it, which I thought was really interesting,” she explained to the publication. “They all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bathwater.”

The “Euphoria” actor, 28, starred in “Saltburn” opposite Barry Keoghan in 2023. In one scene, the Irish actor’s character Oliver drinks bathwater after Elordi’s Felix had pleasured himself in the tub.

A record-setting five-wicket haul from spinner Keshav Maharaj helped South Africa beat Australia by 98 runs in the 1st ODI.
Maharaj took 5/33 as the Aussies were bowled out for 198 while chasing 296.

When he took his fifth wicket as Aaron Hardy, he celebrated his signature move again by looking up at the sky and thanking God.

There was not a single moment today when he did not thank the Almighty after taking a wicket. He really believes in God from the bottom of his heart and never misses a single chance to thank him even on the field.

It is really amazing that an Indian has such a devotional attitude even while born and living in another country.
