With the help of AI, we're able to take a comic artist's original work and adapt it into a short film at a fraction of the cost of a real live-action shoot — but it's far from a one-click process. We start by storyboarding every scene, breaking the comic down shot by shot before anything is built. From there, we cast our characters carefully, choosing looks and expressions that match who they are on the page, and build out every set and dress it with intention, from bedrooms to car interiors to ritual rooms, keeping everything as close to the source comic as possible. Each shot is composed to mirror its original panel — same angle, same framing — and we pace the timing beat by beat, just like a traditional shot list, with notes on action, lighting, and sound for every scene. With AI, we now have the chance to take matters into our own hands and turn our stories into high-quality short films. ✨

Of course, AI is **not a one-click solution**. Story, design, storyboarding, cinematography, editing and creative direction are still essential. AI is simply a powerful tool that helps us achieve what once required a much bigger team and budget.

The process is still challenging and time-consuming, but that's part of the fun of creating. 😅
