Cinematic Haute Couture Has Arrived.

The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation 2026 officially takes over AURUM Theatre, The Exchange TRX from 21–30 August. Organised by the Asian Film Awards Academy , this 10-day showcase brings six acclaimed Hong Kong titles to Kuala Lumpur, merging visionary storytelling with immersive design.

6 Featured Films — Spanning coming-of-age drama, mystery black comedy, and avant-garde romance (Afterpiece, Bird of Paradise, Wakesurf LOVERS, Unidentified Murder, Palimpsest: The Story of a Name, and Dog Day Evening).

Campus Film Talks @ TAR UMT — Cross-generational masterclasses featuring directors Keane T.K. WONG, Joey WU, and legendary actress Elaine JIN alongside Angela YUEN, Renci YEUNG, and Kevin CHU.

Is surrealism a distant dream, or merely a subtle shift in how we perceive the everyday?

With its FW26 campaign, ‘Between Frequencies’, avant-garde jewellery house YVMIN subverts our understanding of everyday reality. We live in a world bound by strict names and boundaries—a street, a shadow, a familiar silhouette. Yet, YVMIN invites us into that fleeting, delicious moment when those definitions suddenly falter.

Creative Director 晓宇 and photographer Yuan Li construct a sensory visual odyssey where metal meets flesh, and the body slips entirely free from traditional classification. Models HUIJIA CHEN and 陈雪山(chén xuě） inhabit a muted, enigmatic landscape, caught perfectly in the tension between static presence and fluid metamorphosis.

Here, adornment acts as something far greater than mere decoration—it becomes an ethereal bridge to the unnamed. A masterclass in modern, quiet surrealism.
