The news of Mr. Chua Lam’s passing makes my heart feels heavy.
I still remember the time when I have the privilege to share a meal with him together — “Wang bu liao/empurau fish or literally translated as unforgettable"— and took a photo that I will always treasure. He was full of wit, charm, and a deep love for food and life. That moment felt timeless.
Chua Lam wasn’t just a food critic or writer — he was someone who truly understood how to live. For him, “Eating is happiness. Enjoy it while you still can.”
