Dear Filmmakers,
We are honoured and overwhelmed to have received over 12,000 film submissions for the very first edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Film Awards (KLIFA). Thank you for sharing your incredible work with us.
From this impressive number of entries, a preliminary selection has been made by our esteemed Pre-Selection Jury Panel.
We are thrilled to announce that the Officially Selected Films will now proceed to the next phase, where they will be reviewed by our Main Jury Board. This board will carefully evaluate the selected works and nominate the most outstanding films for the KLIFA Awards 2025.
The list of Nominated Films will be officially published on our website www.klifa.my in November 2025.
Please note: Due to the ASEAN Summit, the dates of the KLIFA Festival will be rescheduled. We will notify all selected participants of the new dates as soon as they are confirmed.
We sincerely thank all the talented filmmakers who are part of this inspiring journey. Your creativity, dedication and passion are what make this celebration of global cinema possible.

🏆 Awards & Recognition

Winners of each category will receive the prestigious KLIFA Trophy along with an official award certificate in recognition of their outstanding achievement in film.

All nominated films will receive an official KLIFA e-certificate to honour their selection into this highly competitive international festival.

Nomination Announcement:
From the selected films, the final list of nominated films will be published on our official website www.klifa.my on August 8, 2025.

KLIFA Invitation:
All nominees will receive an official invitation to attend the award ceremony and related KLIFA events, including film talks, networking sessions, and cultural programs.

Winners Announcement:
Winners will be announced during the KLIFA Gala Night on November 7, 2025, where filmmakers, industry leaders, and cinema lovers from around the world will come together to celebrate excellence in film.

Accreditation Opens March 10, 2025
Film professionals, film students, and journalists can apply for official accreditation to access exclusive networking events, industry panels, and our film market.

As the Executive Director of KLIFA Awards, I am thrilled to share an incredible milestone. We have received an overwhelming response from the global film community, with more than 6,000 film submissions from 148 countries for the very first Kuala Lumpur International Film Awards! 🌍🎬

This unprecedented participation marks a significant moment as we prepare to host the world film festival here in Malaysia, with contributions from over 100 countries. The last date for film submissions is June 30, so keep those entries coming!
