Google is set to roll out its ‘Google Try On’ feature in Malaysia over the coming weeks, providing a tool to help you “try on” clothes before purchasing them.

Three separate platforms will host the tool, including Google Images, Google Search, and the Shopping tab.

When searching for a piece of clothing, look out for a specific prompt on the item and tap on the “Try It On” button. From there, the platform will guide you to begin your digital fitting experience.

To use the feature, users must first upload a full-body photo of themselves to set up their personal profile. The system handles the rest of the heavy lifting.

Proton’s electric vehicle arm, Pro-Net, has released a shadowy teaser across its social media, likely hinting at an imminent update for the Proton e.MAS 7 electric SUV.

The official unveiling is scheduled to take place on 11 June, aligning perfectly with the media and press day of the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026.

While the teaser doesn’t seem to indicate a facelift for the car, the upcoming announcement will almost certainly centre on a mechanical upgrade, specifically a higher-capacity battery pack that has already debuted on the vehicle’s Chinese twin, the Geely Galaxy E5, as well as right-hand-drive export versions like the Geely EX5 in Thailand and Australia.

Social media users under 16 years of age have been given one month to download their personal data before platforms restrict or suspend their accounts.

This was announced by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

The swift crackdown comes as Putrajaya begins enforcing strict new age-verification rules under the Child Protection Code (CPC) and the Risk Mitigation Code (RMC).

The social media platforms, on the other hand, have a six-month window to verify the ages of all existing profiles across the country.

The new mandate officially targets major tech platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle: the Ferrari Luce!

The new EV marks a radical shift for the legendary brand, and it’s also the first time in history the Prancing Horse has built a five-seater car.

Stepping away from traditional Pininfarina aesthetics, the exterior resembles a family car rather than an aggressive track monster.

However, Ferrari stated that this unconventional body achieves the lowest aerodynamic drag coefficient in the company’s history.

The Ferrari Luce is set to launch in Europe during the second quarter of 2027 before rolling out globally.

The Communications Ministry is considering legal action against Facebook for failing to tackle online scams.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) had been tasked to discuss cooperation with the platform.

Fahmi said MCMC made 271,472 requests to remove harmful content from platforms, with 91% of those requests involving gambling and online scams.

To combat scams, Fahmi has announced plans to set up a specialised committee comprising telecommunications companies, banks, enforcement agencies, and regulators to strengthen safety.
