\ We featured Ong Pei Yee’s artwork Stable Collapses, courtesy of Galeri Sasha on the back cover of Musotrees 13. To tie in with The Living Issue and bring a sense of home, her interpretation of the kerusi malas (lazy chair) feels apt for everyday life — an almost essential furniture in a Malaysian middle-class home.

It is an interplay between memory, imperfection and the quiet rituals of daily life.
