Every good story deserves a good cast.

At Think Geek Media, we believe storytelling isn't just about what you say. It’s about who you bring into the conversation, what gets revealed, and what stays with the audience long after the conversation ends.

That’s why we love The Good Cast — real people, real stories, unexpected perspectives, and conversations worth having. Because in a world drowning in content, a good story still knows how to make you stop and listen.

Thank yo, TheGoodCastShow, for having Andrew Netto and Datuk Ramli Ibrahim on the hot seat. Full conversation to be out soon.

There are comedians who have something important to say about the state of the world. And then there is Aaron Chen, who has apparently decided that the most appropriate response to living through an age of AI, algorithms, smartphones and increasingly intelligent machines is to make a stand-up show about Technology.

The award-winning Australian comedian, actor and writer brings his new stand-up hour Technology to Kuala Lumpur for the first time on 20 October 2026, giving Malaysian audiences their first live encounter with one of Australia's most distinctive deadpan comedy voices.

WoW-KL 2026: TWO DAYS THAT PUT WORDS, STORIES AND READING BACK AT THE HEART OF KUALA LUMPUR

What happens when writers, readers, educators, authors, cultural thinkers, young voices and literary communities come together under one roof?

Conversation happens. Ideas collide. Imagination comes alive.

That was the spirit of World of Words Kuala Lumpur (WoW-KL) 2026, held on 14–15 August at Universiti Malaya — a two-day festival built around a bigger ambition: to revive a culture of purposeful reading and meaningful engagement with ideas.

For Kuala Lumpur’s literary and creative community, it was invigorating.
Day 1 — Read to Lead / Read to Inspire opened with Stories Shape Us, exploring how reading builds imagination and creativity, before moving into the powerful role of words in changing society.

The afternoon took a more provocative turn with When Ideas Are Restricted — What Happens to a Society?, bringing expression, imagination, art, storytelling and the consequences of silencing ideas into focus.

The day closed with a question that perhaps matters more than ever: Can reading be social again? How do shared reading experiences, book clubs and communities turn reading from a solitary activity into a living culture?

Day 2 — Read to Build / Read to Heal shifted the conversation towards leadership, nation-building and the future.

Read to Lead explored how reading shapes judgement, clarity and leadership. Reading Without Borders looked at how nations and communities can build visible, active reading cultures, while Voices of the Next Generation brought young readers and future writers into the conversation.

The afternoon culminated in the WoW-KL Awards, celebrating individuals and organisations contributing to reading, writing, publishing, education, book communities and literary culture. The festival closed with a Reading Pledge and a commitment to keep the movement going beyond the two-day gathering.

And perhaps that is what made WoW-KL feel different.
It wasn't simply about books.

It was about creating a space where the literary community could meet, listen, debate, discover, question and reconnect with the sheer joy and power of words.
For writers, it was a room full of possibility.
For readers, a reminder that books can open worlds.
For young people, an invitation to find their voice.
For educators and institutions, a conversation about building a stronger reading culture.
And for the wider creative community, a reminder that stories still matter.

WoW-KL's larger ambition is to take that conversation beyond the festival — into schools, universities, workplaces and communities, making reading a more visible and valued part of everyday life.

At Think Geek Media, we believe cultural conversations matter because they shape how societies understand themselves.
And WoW-KL has opened one worth continuing.

Congratulations to Founder & CEO, WoW-KL, Sajeet Soudagar and the WoW-KL team for bringing Kuala Lumpur's literary community together — and reminding us that sometimes, the most powerful movement begins with something as simple as opening a book.

KL, your comedy calendar just got a lot more interesting.
One of the UK’s biggest comedy exports is finally coming to Kuala Lumpur — and this is his first-ever show in Malaysia.

Known for comedy that is warmly relatable, brilliantly observational and effortlessly down-to-earth, Kevin Bridges has built a career out of finding the ridiculous in ordinary life — and saying the things most of us think but probably shouldn't say out loud.

With Here If You Need Me, he returns with a brand-new show and a fresh collection of stories, opinions and observations from one of the sharpest voices in British stand-up.
For Malaysian audiences, this marks the first opportunity to catch the comedy phenomenon live on home turf.
