Japanese athletes Yutaro Yokouchi and Mika Taniguchi won the men’s and women’s MY100 titles at the Malaysia Ultra-Trail by UTMB 2026 in Taiping, Perak. Yokouchi completed the 97.5km course in 12:18:44, while Taniguchi took the women's crown in 15:37:54. Both earned direct qualification for the 2027 UTMB World Series Finals CCC race in France. China swept the MY50 category through Erqing Wu (5:03:47) and Dayu Wang (6:23:53), with Malaysia’s Michelle Ng placing second in the women’s MY50 division. India’s Bir Bahadur Rai and Hong Kong’s Ho Ting Yu claimed the MY25 titles. The third edition of Malaysia's only UTMB World Series event attracted over 3,000 participants from 63 countries across five race distances.
