Shipping our camper from to New Zealand forced us to have a break and we've been having a fabulous time in Bali whilst we waited for him to arrive. We went there many years ago and at the time a friend suggested we stayed in the town of Sanur as it was quieter with an older crowd. So we headed back there.

It's been great enjoying good food and a few beers. It's a popular holiday destination for Australia and New Zealand. Loving it especially as its been quiet as is end of low season !!!!

We'd planned to drive from Malaysia to the UK but this is why we made the decision to ship on to New Zealand and start the expedition home from there. So New Zealand here we come and we can't wait to get exploring soon.

Things don't go smoothly for long !
It often makes me smile when we are on the road at how things are done in different countries but this one was a first for us 🤣

We've been using Surf Shark before we started travelling full time and to be honest we wouldn't travel without it. Go to https://surfshark.com/treadtheglobe or use code treadtheglobe at checkout to get 4 extra months of Surfshark VPN for free.

Finally Trevor is loaded into a container. As you saw from the previous post we couldn't get him into a 20ft container and so had to go for a 40ft high top container which is big enough for 2 cars !!

Our shipping agent and friend Abul arranged for him to be cleaned, dried, fumigated and loaded on to a truck to be transported to the container so he didn't get dirty.

We are please to say that he is now on the ship and on his way to New Zealand. Exciting times ahead. We can't wait to meet him there and try and finally get him fixed up and ready to start his long expedition from New Zealand all the way back to the UK. The adventures will be starting again soon and we can't wait

Good afternoon everyone,

So many of you have offered to either set up or contribute to a GoFundMe to help us get Trevor sorted. First of all, we just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU — your kindness and generosity honestly means the world to us.

Over the years, we’ve seen and contributed to many GoFundMe campaigns ourselves — some of you may even remember the one we set up for the turtle conservation project in Türkiye (that’s a whole other story!). But having one created to raise money for us just doesn’t sit quite right with us personally. We’ve always worked hard for everything we have, and we wouldn’t feel comfortable asking people to fund our repairs in that way.

That said, from the comments, messages and conversations we’ve had with so many of you, we know a lot of you genuinely want to support us because you enjoy the content and adventures, and you’d hate to see it all come to a stop - this would never be our plan. Reading your messages and positive comments has honestly been overwhelming in the best possible way, and we truly appreciate every single one of you.

We are very hopeful and really confident that we will be able to replace the canvas and redo the roof if needed in New Zealand.

So, this is why we’ve decided not to set up a GoFundMe. Instead, for anyone who would like to support us and help keep the adventures going, we’ve created a 'Support Us' page on our website. There, you can join our monthly membership or pick up some merchandise — that way, you get something extra in return for your support too.

If you’d like to see the different ways you can support our travels and adventures, here’s the link:
