A Millennial’s Confession

They say millennials are obsessed with traveling.
And maybe we are.
But can you blame us?

We grew up watching our parents give everything,
follow every rule, sacrifice every dream,
only to end up tired, still searching for happiness that was never guaranteed.

We were told:
Go to school. Get a stable job. Buy a house. Start a family.
But somewhere along the way, we realized, that checklist wasn’t a promise, it was a pattern.

So we broke it. ✈️

We book flights instead of mortgages.
We collect passport stamps instead of plates.
We choose sunsets over overtime.

Because millennials aren’t lazy, we’re awake.
We’ve seen what “playing it safe” can cost.
We don’t want to just exist. We want to feel alive.

Travel isn’t us running away,
it’s us running toward the version of ourselves we almost forgot.

We might not have it all figured out,
but at least, we’re living stories worth telling.
