Numb Little Bug that's gotta survive.

03/07/2026

To the Universe, to Fate, or Perhaps to God,

I often find myself contemplating a question whose weight has lingered within the quiet recesses of my soul for far longer than I care to admit: When will I finally experience genuine happiness?

Not the fleeting delight that arrives unannounced only to vanish with the dawn. Not the carefully rehearsed smiles that conceal the silent wars waged within my heart. I speak of the kind of happiness that is profound, unwavering, and authentic—the kind that does not require pretense, explanation, or extraordinary effort merely to endure another day.

How much longer must I traverse this labyrinth of uncertainty? How many more disappointments must I gracefully survive before life ceases to feel like an endless examination of my resilience? I have endeavored to remain steadfast, to persevere despite adversity, to harbor hope even when every fragment of evidence seemed to argue otherwise. Yet there are moments when optimism itself feels like a burden too formidable to carry.

If suffering is intended to cultivate wisdom, then surely I have learned enough lessons to last a lifetime. If patience is a virtue rewarded in due season, then I wonder whether my appointed season has been misplaced among the stars. I do not seek a life devoid of hardship, for I understand that pain is an inevitable companion of existence. I seek only the reassurance that these struggles possess meaning—that one day they will culminate in a life where peace is no longer a stranger but a permanent resident within my heart.

Tell me, is there truly a chapter written for me where I awaken without the familiar heaviness upon my chest? A chapter where love arrives without conditions, where success no longer slips through my fingertips, where my heart is no longer compelled to masquerade as stronger than it truly is? Or am I merely destined to become intimately acquainted with longing itself?

I have exhausted countless prayers whispered into sleepless nights, entrusted innumerable wishes to indifferent skies, and surrendered tears that no one was ever meant to witness. Still, I persist. Not because I am unbreakable, but because some fragile fragment of my spirit continues to believe that there must be something extraordinary waiting beyond this prolonged season of endurance.

So I write this not as an accusation, but as a humble plea.

If happiness is indeed destined to find me, I ask only that it no longer lose its way. Let it arrive not as a transient visitor but as a faithful companion. Let it remind me that every heartbreak, every delay, every unanswered prayer was not an act of cruelty, but a prelude to something infinitely more beautiful than I could have imagined.

Until that day comes, I shall continue to wait—not because waiting is easy, but because surrendering the hope of tomorrow would be a tragedy greater than any sorrow I have endured.

And yet, if you can hear this letter, if destiny still remembers my name, then answer me this one question that echoes endlessly within the chambers of my heart:

When will I finally be... genuinely happy?

Sincerely,
A weary soul who has never stopped hoping.
