Fat Bidin spent our Saturday night at the BMW Shorties Awards Night which wrapped up this year's competition. Zan Azlee as part of the judging panel presented the awards for Best Sound and Best Production Design, as well as the Grand Prize winner announcement alongside other judges Saw Teong Hin , Fatimah Abu Bakar , Vimala Perumal and Nadiah Hamzah.

Congratulations to Darwish Syahmi & the team of Anak Omputeh that bagged the Grand Prize this year.

"It was very enjoyable being a part of this & hanging out wit my fellow judges. BMW Shorties is doing a really good job of encouraging young people to make films, and the environment last night took me back to when I was a young aspirational filmmaker looking for inspiration and motivation. Special shoutout to the passionfruit mojito at the Awards night, it deserves a special jury prize!" - Zan Azlee, 2025.

Congratulations as well to VoxEureka for flawless ex*****on of yet another year of BMW Shorties. Long may it continue!

I’m already 47 years old, and if things go according to plan, I’ll finally get access to my EPF in a few years. If the government suddenly tells me that I can’t and I have to wait a few more years… adoi!!

In general, most Malaysians don’t see EPF as a pension. We see it as the one guaranteed lump sum we’ll ever have in life.

JOM KITA KE PANGGUNG is still ongoing as our feature documentary Jom Kita Ke Laut: Itui Suli-Suli Bajau undergoes the process for Wajib Tayang to be released in the cinemas early next year.

For as low as RM50, you could be a part of the initiative to have this documentary seen by people from all walks of life, particularly marginalised communities that otherwise might not get a chance to go to the cinemas to watch a film.

See you in the cinemas!
