《搖籃凡世》終於回家！8月，墜地而生。

《搖籃凡世》自2024年從東京影展世界首映出發，巡映了10多個國家和地區，終能在2025年8月回到家國，正式上映。

由晟創娛樂出品，張吉安執導。敘述馬來西亞社會崛起的保守主義下，將「棄嬰艙」歸咎為鼓勵性愛的淪落地獄……麗心、琴姐、法蒂瑪和努魯是吉隆坡一家棄嬰艙職工，她們日以繼夜，協力陪伴各族女性面對身體自主的窘境。

PAVANE FOR AN INFANT to be Released in Malaysia this August

After premiering at the Tokyo International Film Festival 2024 and touring over a dozen countries and regions, Pavane for an Infant is finally returning to its homeland for its official Malaysian release in August 2025.

Produced by SunStrong Entertainment and directed by Chong Keat Aun, the film takes the real-life baby hatch as its point of departure—an emotionally charged space shaped by rising social conservatism in Malaysia, where some attribute the facility to a kind of moral decline, even calling it a “hell that encourages sex.”

At the heart of the story are Lai Sum, Kam, Fatimah and Nurul —four women who work as caretakers at a baby hatch in Kuala Lumpur. Together, across race and faith, they stand in solidarity with other women as they face profound questions of bodily autonomy, choice, and survival.

恭賀！《搖籃凡世》2025年繼續前進「第27屆上海國際電影節」！

由馬來西亞晟創娛樂、香港離線映畫有限公司、島影映畫和匠子映畫聯合製作出品，張吉安導演新作《搖籃凡世》，入選「第27屆上海國際電影節」的「年度亞洲電影」！《搖籃凡世》由廖子妤、許恩怡、袁富華、蔡寶珠、原騰等人領銜主演，以馬來西亞棄嬰保護艙為故事起點，為凡世中受苦的女性發聲。

影展發佈，「年度亞洲電影」以梳理知名亞洲電影作者，盤點最新的亞洲電影佳作，呈現亞洲電影的多元面貌，將本年度不可錯過的電影新作一網打盡，其中亦有名導加持和巨星亮相，當中入選的18部作品，包括日本影星木村拓哉主演的《巴黎大飯店》、日本導演井上剛改編自村上春樹小說的《地震之後》等作品，將於6月13 - 22日，在上海各大影廳首度亮相！

《搖籃凡世》將於6月15日、17日和18日，在「第27屆上海國際電影節」展映3場！

Produced by SunStrong Entertainment, Offline Pictures, Southern Islet Pictures and Janji Pictures, director Chong Keat Aun’s latest film Pavane for an Infant has been selected for the ASIAN COLLECTION at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival! Starring Fish Liew, Natalie Hsu, Ben Yuen, Pearlly Chua, and Yuan Teng, the film with real-life setting of Malaysia’s baby hatch gives voice to women who suffer quietly in society.

According to the official announcement, the ASIAN COLLECTION highlights notable works by acclaimed Asian filmmakers, offering a rich panorama of Asia’s cinematic diversity. The curated lineup includes 18 must-see new films, featuring renowned directors and stars. Notable selections include Grand Maison Paris starring Japanese actor Takuya Kimura, and After the Quake, a Haruka Mukarami adaptation by Japanese director Tsuyoshi Inoue. All films will screen from June 13-22 in Shanghai!

SIFF will be showing three screenings of PAVANE FOR AN INFANT on June 15, 17, and 18, so stay tuned!
