Orchids are one of the most exotic groups of flowers and on 15 Nov 1965 Malaysia introduced a new series of Definives with 7 values with design common to all states but with the respective rulers or state crest and name incorporated.
The designer of the series was a Fraser-Brunner,printed by Harrison on watermark mult PTM in sheets of 100.

1948 Silver Wedding Omnibus Issue

Great Britain and 68 members of the British Empire celebrated the 25th Wedding anniversary of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth with this colorful postal tribute to their popular King and Queen. The two stamps set common design from each country had a very affordable low value that reflected the cost to mail a letter, but the second stamp had a face value that was the equivalent of the highest postage rate for mailing parcels and registered letters.

Once the stamps were taken off sale, the 138 mint stamps that made up this historic collection immediately rose in value and have continued that trend for more than 70 years!

Rare Postmark: NEBONG TABAL (Nibong Tebal), Province Wellesley.
The Postmaster of Nibong Tebal, a small town in PW, lost the official obliterator in 1894. Being afraid to report his loss to the head office in Penang, he had a replacement made locally at his own expense. Unfortunately,the town name was mis spelt NEBONG TABAL(Proud K2) and mail was postmarked before being discovered. Covers have been found with both the correct and mis spelt cancellations.(SG magazine)
