Malaysia put on a dominant performance to defeat Bangladesh 7-1 in their second Group G match of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers at Stadium Tertutup SUKPA.
With back-to-back wins, Malaysia now shares six points with group leaders Iran, whom they will face in a key showdown on Sept 24.

MetMalaysia has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several states, including the capital.
Strong gusts have caused damage in parts of KL, with fallen and broken pots seen on balconies as shown in the video. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and stay safe during this period of unstable weather.

Concertgoers in Malaysia are now expected to follow stricter guidelines as part of updated rules by the Communications Ministry.
Attendees must dress modestly, avoid disruptive behavior, and respect cultural and religious sensitivities. Organisers are also responsible for ensuring performers comply with local standards including bans on overly revealing clothing and politically charged acts.

A “kill switch” mechanism, which allows concerts to be halted instantly if rules are breached, has already been triggered once since its introduction. Authorities reaffirm that these measures aim to preserve public safety and cultural harmony, not to restrict artistic expression.

The Education Ministry now requires non-Bahasa Melayu (BM) specialist teachers to sit for the Malay Language Proficiency Test for Teachers (UPBMG) to ensure national language standards are met. Teachers must score at least Level 4 to continue teaching BM, while BM specialists must achieve Level 5 for roles in curriculum development and assessment.
