"It looks stupid." That was the criticism expressed by Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola regarding the actions of his team's rider, Jorge Martin, which resulted in an accident involving five motorcycles, three of which were Aprilias, while competing in the Hungarian GP yesterday.

Now comes the CFMoto 750SR-S, a new contender in this class.

1000cc sportbikes/supersport/superbikes, in particular, are often said to be uncomfortable, impractical, and too fast. The 600cc supersport is more suitable because its power is easier to access and it is lighter. However, its torque is insufficient and it is still somewhat uncomfortable, especially when ridden over long distances.

So what is the solution? It is for these reasons that motorcycle manufacturers began making "everyday sportbikes" like the Yamaha R7/R9, Suzuki GSX-8R, Triumph Daytona 660, and Honda CBR650R. These machines are still fairly quick in terms of top speed and have strong low-end and midrange torque, making them suitable for daily riding.

So then, what is the appeal of this CFMoto 750SR-S? It is also an "everyday sportbike," but it comes equipped with all sorts of premium features such as Brembo brakes, Cornering ABS, a single-sided swingarm, fully adjustable KYB suspension, and is priced at only RM41,888. Its four-cylinder engine is also powerful – producing 110hp and 80Nm. This ensures it is not a "slow" motorcycle.

Adrian Fernandez, who rides for the Leopard Racing team in the Moto3 category, has been retroactively disqualified from the first six races of the year after MotoGP Technical Director and Honda found that two engines he used had been opened without authorization. Furthermore, the second engine was found to have several "abnormalities". As a result, MotoGP only counted the 13 points Fernandez earned at the Mugello round, dropping the rider from 3rd to 20th place in the standings.

In the Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP championships, each rider is only allowed a limited number of engines throughout the season, and engines may only be repaired or fully serviced at specific times with permission from the MotoGP Technical Director and the engine manufacturer. Teams are strictly prohibited from opening engines, except in certain cases, but doing so will have the engine considered new, and the rider is penalised.

Two engines used by Leopard Racing rider Adrian Fernandez in 2026 have been found to have been opened without authorization.

They also launched a range of children's helmets featuring beloved Disney characters from Toy Story, Zootopia, as well as Mickey and Friends. The XRS Star Wars Special Edition model is priced at RM370, while the Disney ones are priced at RM135.
