I am a qualified native Spanish speaker who has been running my own private tuition office in Kuala Lumpur since August 2009 where I teach Spanish to a small group of students on Saturdays (now extended to all weekdays 7-9pm). I have more than 10 years teaching experience as an English facilitator and more than 5 years experience in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am a self-starte
r, enthusiastic, team-worker and independent person whose aim is to obtain a challenging career where his extensive background and knowledge can be utilized to assure maximum productivity. I am eager to learn and I thoroughly believe that success is a journey not a destination. My achievements up to the moment include:
1- Secondary School: Academic and Pedagogic Bachelor
2- B.A. in Modern Languages (English, French and Spanish)
3- Masters of Linguistics (ML)
I really enjoy teaching young learners and adults because I have the strong believe that teaching is learning twice and I have learnt from my students as much as they have learnt from me, which makes it a very enrichable, memorable and unforgettable experience. My lessons are very enjoyable but also fully prepared and my classes arefor all levels: beginners, intermediate and advance;inclusive of all the materials needed in class (student’s book + exercise book + CD); so that you can practice at home both the listening and the written assignments. I also use diverse materials, such as different Spanish language learning books to complement the classes plus modern tools such as, videos and movies, newspapers, magazines and self-made handouts.I can also focus on specific areas according to the students’ needs, such as listening skills, reading comprehension improvement, grammar etc. That is, my classes are focused on the four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), which provide the students with a thorough understanding of the Spanish language, background, history and culture and which may be used in socializing, conversing with friends or when traveling.
