Eco Warriors Students Visit in Collaboration with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP)

On the 25th & 26th October 2024, 30 students and six teachers from local schools in Gelang Patah took part in a two-day workshop at the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) 2024 held at Semua House. This program provided an opportunity for the Eco Warriors students to engage in various arts and eco-friendly activities, including crafting creative nipah handicrafts, building mini terrariums, and upcycling plastic waste into useful products.

Additionally, the students participated in film screenings that emphasized on the importance of water sustainability and enhancing their comprehension on environmental issues. This initiative aims to foster awareness of environmental conservation, social welfare, and sustainable practices within the community.

Through a collaboration between Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and EcoKnights, the program is expected to nurture a more environmentally conscious and responsible generation, empowering them to become agents of change in environmental sustainability and community development efforts.

The Eco Warriors initiative is part of PTP’s 2024 Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Eco Lestari Program, focused on cultivating the next generation of environmental stewards. The participating schools are adopted by PTP under this CSI initiative.
