Even as a banana; I managed to enjoy a once in a lifetime experience in .xuyan 💗
I definitely recommend you to go if you’re around the area and want to discover more of our historical ties with our merchants and take pretty photos of course!
If you’re planning a trip, here are a 5 pointers you should take note of!
1. Multilingual & inclusive!
The show features subtitles for everyone to enjoy and also took into account no pork, no beef & no alcohol so everyone is welcome. It’s also wheelchair friendly as it’s situated on the ground floor.
2. Come on time, or earlier!
Your time slot is actually an allocation based on first come first served. So if you arrive at peak time, you might have to wait longer which may leave you little time to fully take your pics.
3. Not coloured hair friendly.
If you have coloured hair like me, I suggest bringing a full black wig so you can match it with their available range of black extensions.
4. Bring extra makeup if you have a certain preference.
Personally, I liked the makeup but wanted more details so I managed to touch up on top of the MUA’s artist work. But it also depends on their availability. If there’s no one after you, feel free to ask for tweaks. I also seen people come super late already in their own makeup or doing their own makeup outside!
5. Shoot with flash or bring a mini light
Xuyan does tend to get a bit red & dark so having a flash really brings out your fit pics from it’s detailed background
