Türkiye Reaffirms Commitment to Rohingya Crisis

Dhaka, 5 June 2026 — Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Türkiye is working in coordination with neighboring countries and international organizations to achieve a permanent and just solution to the crisis.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman in Dhaka, Fidan said Türkiye is striving to keep the issue on the international agenda. He praised Bangladesh for hosting over one million Rohingya refugees and reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued humanitarian support, while advocating for their safe, voluntary, and dignified return to Myanmar.

Later today, Fidan is scheduled to visit the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar to meet refugees and observe humanitarian projects supported by Turkish organizations.

Bangladesh Forms National Committee on Rohingya Camp Management

The government has established a 16-member national committee, led by the Home Minister, to coordinate and oversee all activities in Rohingya camps.
