The real threat to a secret affair is no longer a private investigator.

The real threat to a secret affair is no longer a private investigator.

A string of infidelity incidents caught on video in Malaysia this week points to a shift — not in how often it happens, but in how visible it has become. Some platforms, it turns out, are more enthusiastic about that visibility than others.

Green ambitions, soft deadlines.

Malaysia is putting the brakes on its carbon tax, with the government citing the war in West Asia and rising costs of energy, petrol and diesel as reasons to review both the timing and amount of the levy.

When a video of Malaysian elephant Kelat showing visibly trimmed tusks at Osaka’s Tennoji Zoo went viral, PERHILITAN finally issued a statement.

They explained that a planned medical procedure was conducted on the elephant’s right tusk, but this was weeks after the zoo’s own blog revealed the elephant’s left tusk had chipped upon arrival in Japan.

The Tennoji Zoo blog has not posted any updates of the procedure on the right tusk.

According to PERHILITAN, the damage was identified on Kelat’s left tusk — consistent with the zoo’s blog — but the trimming was carried out on the right tusk as a structural balancing measure, to prevent uneven pressure on the head and jaw.

The Zoo Tennoji blog makes no mention of any procedure on the right tusk, none at all.

One describes an unexpected incident managed on the spot; the other describes a deliberate veterinary intervention on a different tusk entirely; the gap between them has not been addressed by either party.

The escape of a remand detainee from the Sungai Buloh Prison has initiated an investigation by police into possible breaches of standard operating procedures (SOP).

Authorities believe the detainee is still within the district, and a large-scale manhunt is underway according to New Straits Times.

The Pakistani national escaped during a transfer at Sungai Buloh Prison after attending proceedings at the Shah Alam Court on 9 April.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said a separate investigation paper has been opened under Sections 223 and 224 of the Penal Code to determine whether any negligence or non-compliance led to the incident.

He also confirmed statements have been taken from several individuals, including police officers, prison staff, and detainees who witnessed the incident.

An express bus operator has moved swiftly to terminate a driver after a viral video surfaced showing him driving on a highway with a woman sitting on his lap.

The incident, which has sparked widespread condemnation on social media, involved a bus traveling from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in Kuala Lumpur toward Larkin, Johor Bahru.

The controversy erupted after a passenger’s recording began circulating online. The footage clearly shows a woman perched on the driver’s lap while the vehicle is in motion. In the video, the woman is seen holding the steering wheel as the bus travels along the highway at significant speed.

Adding to the safety concerns, a separate video captured by a car’s dashcam allegedly showed the same bus performing a dangerous lane-cutting maneuver on the road.

On social media, many called for relevant authorities to monitor the activities and behaviour of bus drivers for the sake of public safety.
