'Eid' comes after fasting for a month in Ramadan. All Muslims around the world celebrate this 'Day Of Eid' with joy after fasting. Day by day there are many changes in the way of celebration.
In my childhood,I used to watch everyone gather around the radio to hear what the 'Moon Sighting Comittee' saying.Then everybody started to watch TV for this news. In the mobile era, everyone went out shopping bringing their mobile phones with them.
This time, however, we have to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-FitrI in a completely different situation.
We have seen bomb blasts on the one hand and Eid celebrations on the other hand.We also heard gunshots after the Eid prayers. None of this could stop the joy of Eid. But this time an invisible enemy has stopped everything.We can't go to our hometown. Thousands of worshipers will not gather in a open field together. There will be no friendly Eid 'Kulakuli'. This Eid rides on Coffin of deaths causes by COVID19. This may not stop the joy of Eid. But I hope everyone will celebrate this day while maintaining social distance.
