But his message raises a deeper question: If educated Rohingya people are already struggling to find monthly jobs, what future choices will remain for those who have no education or employment opportunities?

The Rohingya future cannot be built on monthly assistance alone. Education, skills, livelihoods, dignity—and a safe, voluntary and rights-based return to our homeland—must be part of the solution.

Tragic Loss of a Rohingya Family in Malaysia

A devastating tragedy has struck a Rohingya family in Malaysia.

According to the family, Mohd Yunus and his two young sons, Mohd Woheed, 6, and Mohd Aheed, 3, tragically died in a house fire on 15 August 2026 in Taman Serai Maju, Bagan Serai, Perak. Yunus’s wife, Saniya Jahan Juma Abul Kasim, 24, reportedly escaped but suffered serious burns and was taken to hospital.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

RPN calls on the Malaysian authorities to conduct a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation into this heartbreaking incident and ensure that justice is served—for the family, for the Rohingya community, and for humanity.

Myanmar Rejects Claim That More Than 1 Million Rohingya Fled to Bangladesh

Myanmar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected claims that more than one million Rohingya fled from Rakhine State to Bangladesh.

The ministry said that in 2017, more than 540,000 Rohingya were displaced from Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Rathedaung townships.

However, UNHCR says more than 1.18 million Rohingya refugees are in Bangladesh, having fled violence and persecution in Myanmar over the years.

The figures cited by Myanmar authorities and UNHCR differ, highlighting the continuing dispute over the scale of Rohingya displacement.

Myanmar Says Over 300,000 Rohingya Verified for Repatriation

Myanmar’s military-backed authorities say 308,797 Rohingya refugees have been identified as former residents of Rakhine State and are eligible in principle for return, based on the verification of names submitted by Bangladesh.

According to the Associated Press, Myanmar said it had verified 426,545 names out of 828,824 refugees on Bangladesh’s list as of the end of July. Myanmar says 308,797 of those verified individuals were former residents of Rakhine.

The figures come as the Rohingya refugee crisis enters its ninth year, following the mass displacement of more than 700,000 Rohingya to Bangladesh after the Myanmar military’s 2017 crackdown.

RPN welcomes any genuine step toward the safe, voluntary, dignified and sustainable repatriation of Rohingya to their homeland. However, verification alone is not enough. Rohingya refugees must be guaranteed full citizenship rights, legal recognition, security, freedom of movement, property rights and equal protection under the law.

Rohingya repatriation must not mean returning refugees to insecurity, discrimination or conditions that forced them to flee in the first place.

The ultimate solution is not permanent exile in refugee camps—it is a safe and dignified return to our homeland with rights and justice.

More Than 450 Rohingya Women Reportedly Forcibly Recruited by Arakan Army in Rakhine

Serious allegations are emerging from northern Rakhine State that more than 450 Rohingya women have reportedly been forcibly recruited by the Arakan Army (AA) across 14 townships under its control.

The allegations raise grave concerns about the safety, dignity and basic rights of Rohingya civilians—particularly women, girls and families living under intense pressure in areas controlled by the armed group.

According to local reports, Rohingya households have allegedly been pressured to provide recruits. Families without adult men are reportedly being required to send a woman, while poorer households are said to face greater pressure. There are also allegations that wealthier families have been able to avoid recruitment through payments.

Even more disturbing are reports that some of those allegedly recruited may be girls under the age of 18. If verified, such recruitment would raise extremely serious child-protection concerns and could deprive young girls of education, safety and their fundamental rights.

The reported recruitment allegedly affects Rohingya communities in Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Rathedaung, Minbya, Thandwe and other areas.

Firsthand accounts add to the concern. Ro Yassin Abdumonab reports having personally met Rohingya women and their families who said they were subjected to intense pressure from the AA and were ultimately forced to flee their homes. These testimonies deserve serious attention and independent investigation rather than being ignored.

There are also local allegations that some recruited Rohingya women have faced restrictions concerning religious practices and clothing. Such allegations, if independently established, would raise additional concerns regarding freedom of religion, personal autonomy and the treatment of Rohingya civilians.

The Rohingya community has already endured decades of persecution, displacement and violence. Any armed authority exercising control over civilian populations has a responsibility to protect civilians—not to subject vulnerable families to coercion, forced recruitment or intimidation.

The allegations reported here could not be independently verified by RPN at the time of publication. Therefore, RPN calls for credible and independent investigations to establish the actual scale of the reported recruitment, identify those responsible and document the experiences of affected women and families.

The alleged recruitment of women and minors must not be treated as a political talking point. If confirmed, it would represent a deeply serious violation of civilian protection principles and would demand accountability.

RPN strongly condemns any form of forced recruitment, intimidation or coercion against Rohingya civilians, regardless of who commits it. The safety and rights of Rohingya women and children must come before the interests of any armed organization.

RPN calls on relevant human rights organizations, humanitarian agencies and international bodies to urgently investigate these allegations and ensure meaningful protection for affected Rohingya civilians.

Dangerous Conspiracy: Peter Saiful Accused of Trying to Convert Vulnerable Rohingya to Christianity

Serious allegations have emerged about activities allegedly linked to Peter Saiful and the use of assistance to influence vulnerable Rohingya refugees.

The man seen wearing a jubba in the circulated picture is reportedly a new Muslim and a former member of the Myanmar military. After embracing Islam, he reportedly testified before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) about the persecution of Muslims in Myanmar. As a new Muslim, he may still be learning about Islam and its teachings.

However, the main concern is not his personal religious knowledge. The bigger question is why vulnerable and poor Rohingya people are allegedly being approached in the name of assistance.

There are allegations that money is being collected in different places to support efforts to convert Rohingya Muslims to Christianity. If true, these allegations raise serious concerns about whether the poverty and difficult situation of refugees are being used to create religious influence.

If Peter Saiful genuinely wants to help Rohingya refugees, why not provide assistance through transparent and legal channels, working with the relevant authorities and recognized humanitarian organizations?

Humanitarian assistance should never be used to pressure people to change their religion. Rohingya refugees have already suffered persecution, displacement, and poverty. Their difficult situation should not be used for religious or political influence.

There are also allegations that Peter Saiful and people connected to him may be involved in Rohingya kidnappings and may have links with the Arakan Army (AA) in Bangladesh. RPN does not present these allegations as proven facts. They require credible evidence and proper investigation by the relevant authorities.

The important questions are:

- Who is funding these activities?
- Where does the money come from?
- Who is collecting and distributing the funds?
- Who are the people and organizations involved?
- Are vulnerable Rohingya being offered assistance in exchange for changing their religion?

These questions deserve transparency, investigation, and accountability.

At the same time, allegations against any person should be verified carefully and independently. No accusation should be treated as proven without credible evidence.

Rohingya refugees deserve help with dignity and without religious or political pressure. Poverty must never be used as a tool for religious influence, and vulnerability must never be exploited.

WHEN PROPAGANDA PRETENDS TO BE NEWS: The Rohingya Reject Hate and Misinformation

RPN strongly condemns the irresponsible and inflammatory narratives being circulated by this media outlet against the community.

When unverified allegations are presented as facts, and narratives are used to portray an entire community as a threat, this goes beyond responsible journalism. Such reporting can fuel hatred, discrimination, and hostility against innocent Rohingya civilians.

If a media outlet claims to report the truth, it must provide credible evidence, verify its sources, distinguish allegations from facts, and give those being accused a fair opportunity to respond. Journalism should inform the public—not manufacture fear or amplify anti-Rohingya and anti-Muslim narratives.

RPN rejects any attempt to use media platforms to undermine the rights, dignity, and future of the Rohingya people. At a time when discussions on Rohingya repatriation are continuing, irresponsible propaganda can deepen mistrust and make peaceful coexistence even more difficult.

All relevant actors, including the Arakan Army (AA), must reject hate speech, anti-Rohingya rhetoric, and narratives that threaten intercommunal peace.

The Rohingya deserve a safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable return to their homeland, with security, equal rights, and respect for their identity.

RPN calls on journalists, researchers, governments, and international organizations to demand evidence, independently verify claims, and refuse to amplify propaganda presented as news.

The Rohingya reject hatred. We reject misinformation. We stand for truth, justice, dignity, and peaceful coexistence.

A fire incident happened in Camp 8E Sub-Block-B,B3 around 3:50pm from a gas cylinder.
According to the family while the housekeeper was cooking the rice and that time the gas cylinder exploded and then the fire started.
But bad luck the housekeeper got injured badly and now she was hospitalized.

But Alhamdullilah now the fire is under control by the help of community people.
