𝐎𝐓𝐓 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 & 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗥, officially opened the OTT Engineering: Content Delivery & Streaming Infrastructure Workshop this morning, at Dewan Dinamik, IPPTAR in Kuala Lumpur.

The opening session featured remarks from 𝗠𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗬𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗱 𝗬𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗳𝗳, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰, 𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗥, and Mr Ahmed Nadeem, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗕𝗨, who welcomed local and international participants from ABU members organisation and highlighted the importance of knowledge-sharing and industry collaboration in navigating the rapidly evolving OTT and streaming landscape.

Over the next three days, broadcasting and media professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region and Malaysia will come together to explore key aspects of OTT engineering, content delivery, streaming infrastructure, network technologies and the evolving digital media ecosystem.

The workshop provides an opportunity for participants to gain practical knowledge, exchange experiences, and strengthen connections with fellow media professionals and industry experts from across the region.

ABU extends its sincere appreciation to IPPTAR for their partnership and support in hosting this workshop, and to all speakers and participants for contributing to this valuable knowledge-sharing platform.

🌏✨ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐁𝐔 𝐂𝐎𝐍-𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠!

This morning, ABU CON-FEST 2026 was officially opened by Ahmed Nadeem, ABU Secretary-General; Claire M Gorman, Chairperson of the ABU Programme Committee and Head of ABC International, Australia; and Ashwad Ismail, Director General of RTM, Malaysia.

Delegates were then treated to a vibrant cultural performance celebrating Malaysia's rich heritage and diverse ethnic communities, showcasing the traditions and cultures that make the country so unique.

Adding to the excitement was a special appearance by Wira, the Malayan Sun Bear and official Visit Malaysia 2026 mascot, who delighted delegates and brought plenty of smiles throughout the morning.

The programme continued with an insightful Conversation with Eric Nuzum, co-founder of Magnificent Noise and one of the world's leading podcasting pioneers, as he shared his expertise on the future of audio storytelling, audience-first content and engaging today's digital audiences.

Here's to another inspiring day of learning, collaboration and shaping the future of content and media.
