With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our dear friend, Ama Risa. A brother, a musician, a soul that resonated deeply within the Kuantan music scene. As the bassist of surf punk’s Teratak Retak, former bassist of grunge’s Old Parasite, Ample Blare, and the voice behind Nintendo-core’s Ripoffmyfriendsjacket, Amar’s passion for music was undeniable.

Beyond his music, Amar was one of the pillars of the Love Community, a collective that shaped the scene and brought people together. His energy, kindness, and unwavering support for local music will forever be remembered.

Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. Rest easy, brother. Your legacy will live on in the songs, the memories, and the community you helped build.

Before it is too late, we want to say a huge thank you to every band, every contributors and everyone who came to COMRADE! Vol. 27. Your energy and support made the night unforgettable! Seeing all of you come together with singing, moshing, and standing as one which reminds us why this scene is so special.

A big thank you as well to those who have supported Warmroom Records in any way. Your contributions help keep WR:HQ alive. But WR:HQ is more than just a music space. Our vision is to make it a youth community centre which is a place where young people can express themselves through music, art and poetry.

We want WR:HQ to be a space for art galleries, record sales, local brand merch, poetry nights, book discussions and creative workshops. This is about building a community, supporting each other, and keeping the scene alive.

Kuantan DIY scene is coming together for a Benefit Show for Warmroom Records music space or better known as WR:HQ or The HQ.

Therefore, this benefit show is dedicated to our music space due to the financial problem that we’re facing right now in order to continue our rental contract with the landlord.

For that reason, we hope that you guys could help us by supporting the show. On this upcoming February 22nd, 2025 (Saturday) will be featuring some of the finest homegrown acts from the local scene.
