Growing up, we've heard our fair share of folk tales. Who would have known that we actually have countless number of folklores, so full of wonders, terrors, and beauty.

With this in mind, our team is working tremendously to bring these stories to life in a form that we hope would capture its elegance.

Hiring: STORYBOARD ARTISTS

We are looking for artists who:

1. Can cinematically visualize script to drawings.
2. Are able to stage scenes, compose shots, pose acting, for a show with comedy and heart.
3. Can work with Writing and Concept Team to capture the essence of the production in a visual manner.
4. Can create emotions, actions and appeal through continuity boards, dramatic acting preferred.
5. Can ensure that quality and style of the show are consistently achieved within set deadlines.
6. Proactively communicate problems and issues early on and troubleshoot wherever possible.
7. Can organize Storyboard Pro files to company standards.
8. Can systematically note and label storyboards for an effective production flow.

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Photoshop, and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro [BONUS].
• Strong draftsmanship skills. Ability to work digitally preferred.
• Good understanding of animation principles preferred.
• Good understanding of cinematic staging, timely cuts and transitions.
• Ability with effective time management in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Enthusiasm!

Hiring: 2D ANIMATORS

We are looking for animators who:

1. Can work on the technical and creative implementation within Toon Boom pipeline.
2. Can implement development and integration of tools, adequately aligning all software used in production.
3. Can support Concept Team, by acting as primary support for technical problems.
4. Can work closely with department heads, helping to overcome technical difficulties on the production.
5. Develop documentation and implement training/mentoring to enhance skillset of team members.
6. Can uphold a good work ethic and positive atmosphere within the team.

Requirements:
• Good proficiency in any animating and post production software is required.
• Strong command of animation principles.
• Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony software [BONUS]
• Experience as an animator [BONUS]; we welcome fresh graduates too
• Ability with effective time management in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Enthusiasm!

Hiring: CHARACTER DESIGNER / BACKGROUND ARTISTS

We are looking for artists who:

1. Will work with our Concept Team to develop brilliant characters/backgrounds and design assets according to the project’s visual language.
2. Have an understanding of an animation production workflow, to adjust/troubleshoot designs for ease of animation. [BONUS]
3. Can create model sheets of Characters, covering the following areas: turnarounds, poses & gestures, mouth shapes for lip sync, facial expressions, character lineups, hand and feet sheets. Or;
4. Can create layouts for Backgrounds, covering the following areas: master shots, design packs, different perspectives/view-points on a specific scenery.
5. Can maintain well-structured files and follows established layer and texture naming conventions.
6. Can uphold a good work ethic and positive atmosphere within the team.

Requirements:
• Good Proficiency in Photoshop/Clip Studio Paint/Procreate is required.
• Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony software [BONUS]

Thank you for supporting our page! To show you we mean business, here is a photo of our office space taken end of last year before our team moved in to work here. Our studio is located above a kek lapis shop opposite Kuching Waterfront (Kek Lapis Mama Su). It has been more developed since and is still undergoing renovations.

Our entire team is currently working hard from home due to Covid, so we won't be able to upload any new studio pics in the meantime.

For background info: we are a small motley crew of 20 artists, animators and writers, all based in East Malaysia. We are working our asses off on a huge project, due in 2022 and we cannot wait to deliver it to you. This project happens to be our first original IP, so any support is most appreciated.

We are also looking to hire more talents for our crew, so stick around for the next post!
