Ever wondered what the shapes and swirls in traditional Sarawakian art actually mean? 🌿✨

From the intricate weaves of the Pua Kumbu to the iconic Bunga Terung tattoos and flowing Orang Ulu Ukir, history in Sarawak wasn't just written down in books—it was woven, carved, and worn on the skin. Every curve and line carries a story of protection, identity, and deep respect for nature.

Here is a quick guide to understanding our visual heritage:

🎨 Motif: A single recurring figure or symbol—like the Bunga Terung (representing life’s journey) or the Nabau serpent (symbolizing spiritual strength).

📐 Pattern (Corak): How those motifs repeat and weave together to tell a larger story or sacred dream.

📜 Tradition (Adat): The cultural customs and respect that govern who creates these designs and how they are honored.

As our local art and fashion evolve, embracing these beautiful patterns keeps our culture alive—as long as we continue to wear and share them with pride, knowledge, and respect. ❤️

☕😅 THE ANNOYING HABITS WE CAN’T IGNORE!

We all have that one person… maybe a friend, colleague, or even ourselves 😂

Small habits can be funny, irritating, or sometimes REALLY get on our nerves. But when someone’s habit starts bothering us, how do we tell them without sounding rude or hurting their feelings?

Do we say it straight? Give them a gentle hint? Or just keep quiet and pretend everything is fine? 👀

Let’s talk about it, laugh about it, and maybe learn how to handle those awkward moments a little better!

😇😈 HELPING OTHERS… BUT WHAT’S THE REAL INTENTION?

Sometimes, we help because we genuinely care. ❤️

No favour expected. No “you owe me one.” Just helping because it’s the right thing to do.

But then… there are also people who help because they’re already thinking, “Okay, what can I get back from this?” 👀😂

So where do you draw the line between genuine kindness and helping with an agenda?

Let’s talk about it this Saturday on Midday Mix Part 01!

📼✨ LIFE BACK THEN… 80s & 90s STYLE!

Before smartphones, Wi-Fi and social media… life was simple, but somehow we had so much fun. 😂

Playing outside until the street lights came on, recording songs from the radio, renting VCR tapes, collecting CDs and cassettes, arcade games, cartoons on TV, and calling your friends on the house phone just to ask,
“Going out today?” 😆

No TikTok. No WhatsApp. No Google.

But we had memories. ❤️

This Friday on Midday Mix Part 01, let’s rewind the clock and remember what life was really like back in the 80s & 90s.
