University of Otago Scholarships in New Zealand for International Students | Undergraduate, Master's & PhD

Depending on the scholarship and study level, funding can include tuition fee support, accommodation assistance, annual stipends, and tuition fee waivers.

University of Otago Global Scholarship
NZD $15,000 toward tuition fees
Available to eligible students from nominated countries, including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam
New international Bachelor's students
Automatic scholarship assessment during the admission process for eligible applicants
Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for International Students
NZD $10,000 toward tuition fees
For new international Bachelor's students

International Academic Excellence Scholarship
Approximately NZD $35,000 total value
For high-achieving international undergraduate students
Includes first-year accommodation support at an eligible residential college and NZD $7,000 toward tuition and student services fees in Years 2 and 3, subject to conditions

International Master's Research Scholarship
NZD $18,204 stipend per year
Plus tuition fee support under the applicable scholarship conditions
Doctoral opportunity:
University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship
NZD $33,624 stipend per year
Domestic tuition fee waiver for up to 36 months
Available to international and domestic doctoral students
