On 28 July 2026, Mukah Digital Innovation Hub hosted a programme involving LHDN Mukah, Mukah District Office and Agrobank Mukah, with participation from local entrepreneurs.

The programme provided entrepreneurs with the opportunity to gain valuable information directly from the respective agencies:

LHDN - Briefing on e-Invois and Tax Compliance Certificate
Mukah District Office - Briefing on Business Registration
Agrobank - Introduction to products and financial facilities for entrepreneurs, including business account opening

As part of the Juh Cashless initiative, Agrobank also provided participants with the opportunity to open a business account with an SDEC incentive for registrations made on the programme day.

A big thank you to LHDN, Mukah District Office and Agrobank for their valuable sharing and collaboration, as well as to all entrepreneurs who attended and took the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and business management practices.

We hope initiatives like this will continue to support Mukah entrepreneurs in building businesses that are more structured, competitive and sustainable.

On 25 July, Sarawak Digital Champion: Bengkel Kamek Digital 4 & 5 was conducted by Amir Asraf Abu at Mukah DIH, focusing on Digital Tools & Cybersecurity.

Throughout the session, participants were introduced to a range of Google Workspace applications, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google Drive, to help improve productivity, simplify business operations, and streamline everyday tasks through digital solutions.

Participants also gained essential cybersecurity knowledge, including how to protect their accounts and personal data from cyber threats, identify common online scams, create strong and secure passwords, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), and adopt best practices for staying safe in today's digital environment.

Mukah DIH is proud to support initiatives that promote digital literacy and lifelong learning by providing a collaborative space for knowledge sharing, skill development, and community engagement. We look forward to welcoming more impactful programmes that empower individuals and businesses to thrive in the digital economy.

On 16 & 18 July 2026, 24 students from the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Politeknik Mukah participated in the Pre-Ideathon & Ideathon Cohort III organised by Mukah Digital Innovation Hub.

The Pre-Ideathon was conducted on the first day, where participants were introduced to Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping to equip them with the skills to identify problems, generate ideas, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

During the Ideathon, teams pitched their ideas based on the theme "Responsible E-Waste for a Sustainable Future." They presented innovative solutions to address e-waste challenges through technology, awareness initiatives and sustainable practices. Their creativity, teamwork, and confidence made the competition both exciting and inspiring.

Congratulations to Team Lobster for being crowned the champion of Ideathon Cohort III, and well done to all participants for your outstanding effort, creativity, and innovative ideas.

A sincere thank you to Politeknik Mukah, our judges, Mdm Roziah and Mdm Mazliza, and everyone who contributed to the success of this programme. We look forward to empowering more young innovators through future programmes at Mukah Digital Innovation Hub.

On 2 & 3 July, a total of 23 students from the Jabatan Perdagangan, Politeknik Mukah participated in the Pre-Ideathon & Ideathon Programme organised by Mukah Digital Innovation Hub.

The programme began with the Pre-Ideathon, where participants were introduced to Design Thinking and Market Research to equip them with the skills to identify community challenges, validate ideas, and develop innovative solutions.

On the following day, participants pitched their ideas during the Ideathon, centred on the theme "Social Entrepreneurship in Community-Based Tourism." Their creativity, teamwork, and well-researched solutions made the judging process a challenging one.

After careful deliberation, Team HANZ selected as the winner with their project, Smart Youth Tour Guide. Congratulations to Team HANZ and to all teams for your outstanding effort and innovative ideas!

A heartfelt thank you to the Politeknik Mukah for the collaboration. Our sincere appreciation also goes to our invited judges, Dr. Habsah and Pn. Siti Khadijah, for sharing their valuable insights, and constructive feedback throughout the programme.
